Well my Shepard will have the same ending every time. It's not in him to retire yet. There are still injustices in the galaxy and missions to complete. He will continue his work as a Spectre and will remain in the Alliance with any squadmates and crew that decide to stay on board with Garrus as my XO with Spectre status of his own. With my LI (Liara or Tali) at my side we fly off on the Normandy to face our destiny.

I'm actually sort of thinking that Shepard should die or merely appear to die. If he succeeds, everyone in the galaxy will know his name. I think that in the final conflict, he should die, or simply disappear with his love interest or just alone to be able to find any form of peace.

I think a possibility is a severe case of PTSD, the kind you can treat but don't really recover from. Shepard has been through so much, hell he's even died and come back to life and he had to kill 300k batarians to stall the Reaper Invasion. He didn't exactly have time to process that in the game, all they said was 'Oh - by the way, you're a zombie, here's a gun and now you're Cerberus' b!tch. Go kill collectors.'
There wasn't exactly time to process what happened to Shepard so he buried it and moved on. It wouldn't surprise me if the beacons eventually drove him mad. And during the game we see the slow decent into madness made clear. Hell - I think that kid we see in the demo is just a manifestation of the madness already eating at his mind. (I know you see him board the shuttle, but lots of people see manifestations or apparitions of things or people that weren't there. Even having full conversations with them.

Hmmm I think Shepard will spend with Love Interest, raise kids and have a family. Shepard will still be in the Military's, as well working with LI and with family. That what I think will like to see, when years go onmaybe be a High Ranking of sometype or a good retirement when fished.

Anyways, she'll probably stay with the Alliance (as long as she keeps her ship), or travel around with Kaidan while he does his Spectre duties. Unless she's made a Spectre again, too.
But no matter what, she's not giving up her Normandy or her Kaidan.

Will go Colonel O'Neil style retirement (isolated cabin in the woods)...only Garrus, Kasumi, Thane and Chakwas will know where he is....He has had enough of the screw overs from the Council and Alliance (feels like Grissom)...No kids for him, just quiet reclusive retirement....take up hobbies....Possibly much more than friends with Kasumi.

Go more the Jethro Gibbs style...won't retire completely....continue with a few exclusive more challenging missions as a Spectre and Alliance....but with a lot of long reclusive breaks inbetween, with a hobby or two....With Kasumi or Gianna by his side.
