I wonder if anyone else has encountered the same problem that I have.

So I went to Chateau Haine with Aveline and Isabella, which resulted in me having the "Romantic Gift" and "A Map of Sorts" Quests (I suppose had I chosen others to be my companions, the quests would be different).

Anyway, when I went past all guards and arrived at the place where Tallis and Hawke have to step on some stones to open some gates, there were two items, next to the door that I had to open, that were for those two quests. I managed to get the love poem and managed to get next to the medallion related to the "A Map of Sorts" Quest, but... the medallion is unselectable! It could be that I am not good at pixel hunting, but I doubt that.

Has anyone had this issue, has anyone know how to get an unselectable quest item...?

It's currently a bug. Try closing the main gates which block the access to the door in the centre. You should be able to loot then the items (worked for me so far). And don't worry, you're not the only one with this problem, there's a Topic I created, especially for kinda bugs like these. There might be the need for an inlook by a dev for this problem.

Silly me! In my panic that I wouldn't be able to complete yet another side quest, I thought it was a specific quest related bug and that's why I tried to search for the specific bug to find a solution.

Now it seems it is more likely intended to be this way (after further investigation, it turns out that the second side quest related object is unselectable until Hawke and Tallis do stand in the right places), and the issue was discussed more broadly elsewhere. The thread could be deleted then, I guess.

You can find the cache(s) out in the summit path area after you escape from the dungeons.
