Hello, I'm new here and to the game. I'm stuck in the game, where you have to run up to the tower and light the fire but we can't kill the monster. Does anyone know how to beat this monster and Light the fire??
My god, completely wrong topic in the completely wrong forum. Add in the fact that you hijacked a topic with absolutely no relation to your question and I suggest THINKING before you post.

Erm, I actually cannot figure out how to adjust the angle and move forward in an efficient manner. Can somebody help me out?

I cannot figure out how to change the camera's angle. What you figured out might be just what I am looking for, so please, when you find the answer to your peoblem, tell us what it was. That way I would not have had to make a duplicated posting to get the answer that you already found.

Here's what I found on how to move your view in the level editor; http://social.biowar....php/3D_control
If you scroll down, you'll notice a few ways to adjust your view, like NWN style or 3DSMax Style. There's a disclaimer though, not easy to spot; only the 3DSMax Style works for now!
So, to zoom around the editor with mouse for example, press ALT and middle mouse button at the same time, and hover your mouse around. This, accompanied with wasd already gets you everything you need, though in an awkward manner.

To activate 'flycam' mode, use the button seen in the middle of the top row (right above where it says Flemeth's Hut). in the image it is labelled "Set Camera to flycam style", and the button looks like a little tiny grey camera above the text WASD.

Yes you can. Set them both to use 3dsMax controls and then they will be the same.
How?

You can set the camera mode for most editors in the Options window (Tools->Options). Use the list on the left to specify which editor's options you want to change. The one you're looking for is called Mouse Control Style. It's not available for all editors, but it does exist for the Area editor, for example.
Yes, the Area editor cam system (NWN) is great. Unfortunately, the Level editor (which is what this thread is about) does not have the camera option to change. Anyone else wanna take a crack at this?

Also, you can zoom slower if you hold down shift when you spin the mouse wheel.

I always map my middle button to my thumb. Not just because of this game. I always do this because I don't like trying to press the mouse wheel down.

Do you mean the Back/Forward buttons in the side? Is there any way I can map it directly in the settings.xml file or do I have to use the mouse drivers and do that from there? I really hope it's the former

What I would like to do is also to change the button for moving in the level editor from having to press and hold the wheel button, into pressing LMB+Alt. I thought that if I changed the line:
<MoveCameraFly Function="MoveCameraFly" Chord="MMB">
in the <Threedsmax> section it would work, but it doesn't. Any idea?
