Please give xbox players a way to change the darn flags in the save import files so I don't have to go ba k and play the rubbish Dragon Age: Origin DLCs so that things make sense.

I'd be willing to pay almost anything for a dlc program or whatever that does that. I don't want to have made a new Awakening save in which I've done things in the way I did not want to so that I see Nathaniel only to then find out that future games are affected by Witch Hunt since I haven't redone that as well.

To be entirely honest I am a bit miffed with the gaming industry as a whole. There are plenty companies that put out broken games and I do understand that coding is a tricky business. It just seems insulting to have paid a full price for these things and not to have a way in which to try to fix the issue myself because I'm using a console instead of a PC.

All I want to do is make sure Nathaniel is alive and I see his quest having imported the Witch Hunt 'grand' save instead of my quick fix redo of the end of Awakening. I can't be sure if Morrigan's fate is going to be important in any future dlc or any future game and it would be nice to know I'm not going to have to keep going back and replaying boring, broken Origin DLCs.

I have a www.thepetitionsite.com/1/bioware-fix-39dragon-age-awakenings39-and-save-import-issues-witihn-bioware-games/ petition but since I'm... well, I'm pretty braindead of late. I don't know how to put it into understandable terms.

I don't find it satisfactory to be told that it will be 'fixed in a future title'. It means I'm going to have to either go back and play broken content which is unlikely to be fixed itself or I'm going to have to basically play it 'wrong'. The intent of the save import function was - I assume - so I could carry on the game universe from the last point with all the decisions I made counting.

I find it disheartening to find so many people (or what seems like so many) are willing to shrug their shoulders over this.

I will admit I have certain psychological issues which make it difficult to... deal with 'messy' things and stuff not making sense. I have really wanted to play DA:2 but have felt unable because of the problems I was encountering. A lot of the issues were addressed and fixed but since this is a DA:A problem its kind of left hanging. I just don't understand what would be so terrible with a pop up or dlc which I could buy to alter the flags myself. I'm sure there are enough people out there who'd be willing to buy it to make it worthwhile - even though it should really be free considering this is a bit of a screw-up on Bioware's behalf.

I want to enjoy the game I've paid so much money for. I've been buying the dlc in the hopes you will turn round and say you've come up with a solution but all I've seen so far is members on the forum dismissing it and suggesting Bioware will simply fix it in the next game. I was able to deal with the issue in Mass Effect 2 with Conrad Verner because at least he still appears but knowing I'm missing on a whole quest to do with Nathaniel is a bit of a kick in the teeth.

I don't care if it looks messy or unprofessional, I'd absolutely LOVE a pop up or something in which I could mark Nathaniel as alive.

I'd find it hard to argue with you. I love BioWare, and I love their games, but ffs, they really need to fix the stuff that's broken before moving on to new things. :?

I never had a problem with the Nathaniel thing you describe. But I support you on this with the whole fixing the flags thing.

Hell we had that same issue with importing ME1 into ME2. If you didn't put a gun in Conrad Verner's face he still says you did. If you saved Synthetic Insights from the Biotic Terrorists, they still say that they are having problems. If you saved Sha'ira the Asari Consort and got the optimal ending for her quest in ME2 they say she's being forced to leave the Citadel... Yeah... They need to fix the import flags or problems in the past game before moving on so that when they do the importing to new games that everything works right. Or at the very least give the console gamers a way to fix the problems themselves.

Well, everyone who you leave at the Keep in Awakening will be flagged as dead. So perhaps you had Nathaniel in your final party?

Anywho, I had thought that Synthetic Insights and Sha'ira were screwed either way, i.e. even though you helped them fate is a cruel mistress and they still have problems. If this isn't the case I'm even more annoyed. -_- I just want to play in a world that makes sense. That's why I've completely given up on the Fable franchise. I really don't want to get to a point where I manage to walk away from ME and DA. Of course, it has to get really bad before that because of the obsessiveness of my issues. I don't like the fact that I rely on video games to live but it kind of becomes inevitable when you're too scared to leave the house.
HAVE MERCY ON ME, BW! :P

Don't get me started on Fable 2 and 3 bugs. I tried to play Fable 1 and couldn't complete the games. Fable 2 and 3 so buggy and so broken not funny. Completed both of the games though. I doubt I will pick up any more Fable games after the debacle of 2 and 3 and how much nerd rage is going against them. Plus the whole inclusion of co-op in both 2 and 3 is the cause of all the bugs in the first place in both games... it's just bad.

It wouldn't be half as bad for me if the story made sense.n I can forgive a lot if a story works.

I beleave the problems lay within the GOA content for Origins i remember reading something about its save at the end corrupting alot of the story saved from Origins and Awakaning but if you go strate to Witch hunt from Awakening then the plot eliments should stay saved and skip GOA completely.

So you're saying Golems of Angarak is the issue? That steaming pile of turd? I'll still have to play Witch Hunt again but at least I don't have to replay Awakenings wrong.

Who should I contact to confirm this? I have no problem missing out GOA completely, I considered it a waste of money anyway.

If this turns out to be the case then I'm personally pretty happy but my original post still stands.

Ive never had much trouble with importing, but thats probably becasue i use;
Origins > Awakening > DA2

Btw, Does anyone know what is the best import path to use that covers most of the DLC without bugging issues? Ive never tried any of the other paths, eg. Witch Hunt/GOA. Because Ive started all my chars from scratch again and I'm just on Origins atm.

But I fully support this. I would pay just to see it fixed properly. *Signed*

Yeah, but for free since it is their fault.

I agree with this. The romance flags don't seem to work, for one. Not for Alistair and Zevran anyway. Alistair always refers to the Warden as his friend even if romanced, while Zevran is happy to sex up Izzy and Hawke regardless of romance.

And I've also suffered the irritating bug that Nathaniel is dead just because I left him at the Keep in Awakening. All the more annoying because I didn't find out that it was bugged until Act3. I hope it doesn't bugger anything up if there are future appearances from him.

And there's the others - which might be fixed now - like the Architect being alive when he's actually dead, and Amaranthine burning when it was actually saved.

Has there been a patch since 1.02? If not, the Awakening bugs are probably not patched. Frankly, I doubt they ever will be, as we haven't heard a peep in months about it.

The only way I got Nathaniel to show up with an Awakening import was to use a saved game that was only halfay through the expansion. My Warden Commander only just met the Architect, and it wasn't even close to the final battle. I have 3 or 4 half-finished Awakening playthroughs (with different Wardens imported), and each one yielded Nathaniel Howe in DA2. Romance flags for Zevran/Alistair still aren't working correctly for me, but it's been a while since I started a new game.

Edit: I agree; I'm sure I've said it before, but a Genesis-esque app for DA would totally be welcome, and probably expected.

I have been saying this is definitely needed a Genesis Type DLC to address all the D*** Import Issues I remember someone from Bioware flat out stated that it was unlikely that the Awakening Issues could even be fixed.

They could make it where you could choose your Wardens Origin,Sex,Race, class and who you Romanced as well as all the DLC Variables that way in future DLC/Expansions if the Choices are relevant you could have them.

They really need to make something like this that way we could have the best Expeience playing Dragon Age 2 Gameplay wise "Missions,Dialogs, and Codex Entries".

Hmm... it'd be interesting to know if that's true. Maybe I'll just import from Awakening and skip the DLCs. :-/

I made a topic for a DA Genesis comic DLC a while back on what all it should cover for the devs to make.

Bioware needs to face their mistakes with all those Import Issues and forget trying to fix them just make a Genesis type DLC where we can create a perfect DA2 Import Save.

Origins all the Way up to Witch Hunt all DLC's included that way later on if Bioware decides that they will be relevant in DLC or an Expansion our Saves will already have it.

heres my question though: If it is like the ME genesis wouldn't it only work for those who've never played Dragon age 2? Thus all the people who transfer a character from DA1 to DA 2 won't get much options

I approve. A simple custom history builder should have been inluded from the start. And even, if there weren't for all those import bugs, it would still be a welcome addition.

Dmasterman That wouldn't really be a problem because The Genesis Comic doesn't even activate if you Import a Mass Effect 1 Save into Mass Effect 2 all of your decisions are not messed up by the comic at all I figure it could function the same way for Dragon Age 2 If a Dragon Age Origins Save is Imported the Comic would not activate or something like that.

But to be completely honest the Entire Import thing is seriously messed up If you Import your own Perfect Save from Origins all the way to Witch Hunt DLC's Included there are just to many problems that most likely can't be fixed at all like the Awakening Issues "Amaranthine/Vigils Keep & Nathaniel Howe".

The thing I have always said from day one is that Bioware needs to make a History Feature For Dragon Age 2 covering Origins all the way to Witch Hunt because the Import Issues probably won't be fixed with Bioware working on Dragon Age 2 and most likely Dragon Age 3 as well which is why a History Feature is so important.

The feature could allow us to choose our Warden's Sex,class & Origin as well as make all the relevant decisions like who ruled Ferelden and the DLC Decisions all the way up to Witch Hunt.

This feature would be great so Bioware could focus on Dragon Age 2 & Dragon Age 3 instead of trying to fix the Pesky Import Issues.

That's odd my ME 2 genesis comic would pop up everytime I imported.... The only choices it'd ask me is like the last two or very last question (Anderson or Udina being on the council or something) while the rest of them went answered... maybe it's just me

but oh well. they should make a fix to this, yet Bioware is too busy with their DLC and ME 3.
