I agree this issue should have been Fixed as soon as all the D*** Issues surfaced "Import Flags and All" I would even pay for a feature allowing the full Dragon Age 2 Experience "Assignment's, Missions, Dialogs, Cameos, and Codex Entries"..
There are just too many Import Issue's and until Bioware gets serious about trying to make a feature that can allow us to make all the Key choices regarding The Warden and all the Relevant Choices From Origins all the way up to Witch Hunt DLC Included.
Or Bioware's gonna need to devote alot of needed manpower to fix all the Import Issues from Origins all the way to Witch Hunt and considering a few things I don't see this happening mainly these
1.Mass Effect 3
2.Star Wars The Old Republic
3.Rumored New IP at The VGA'S
4.Dragon Age 2 DLC's and Possable Patching
5.And Dragon Age 3
My point is that Bioware is gonna be real busy so them being able to fix all the Import Issues are not really likely at all and thats why we need a feature like Genesis but more In Depth with all the relevant Choices from Origins all the way To Witch Hunt DLC's included.
I'd even bloody pay for it (save import)

So, can I have an update on the situation? Can't be bothered trawling through lots of posts just to be disappointed.

Sadly there is no update on Bioware creating a feature like we have described in this topic

Oh well. I didn't really expect much of a change but had hoped that maybe would have heard something from a staff member. I get embarrassed and shy trying to personally message them which in turn, I guess, makes me rather rude on the forums. Still, it is a little bit ridiculous.

Sadly, I haven't seen a developer comment here for a long time. Its like they forgot this game existed.

At this point, they may wish it had disappeared. Sorry, that was really snide. Still, having someway to fix these bugs would be great for the people who have to put up with them. Yeah, I didn't kill Zev or Leliana, but I did romance Zev and having him respond like he and the Warden were just good friends ticks me off. But heck, LOL, they can't even get DA 2 companion romances to ping properly so...
Is there any news on further patches at all? I check the patch thread semi-regularly, but there are so many other patch-wanted threads here, I don't get to all of them. Have I missed something?

I think that Bioware probably knows that they can't fix all the Import Issues so they haven't commented on the Issue for a long Tme now I never actually expecteda Major Patch to Fix all the Pesky Import Issues that was just out of the Question.
But a feature to make key choices regarding important Decisions and Romances would have been nice to have.

I too would pay for a DLC that would allow to view, verify and edit all the flags in Dragon Age: Origins save files that are being imported to Dragon Age 2. Hopefully this would allow the game to apply the proper results from DA:O to DR2; like the bugs with decisions from DA:O that are reflected in the "A Study of the Fifth Blight, Vol. Two" codex not importing properly.

The thing is it's a serious problem that prevents you from getting the whole Dragon Age 2 Experience "Mission's,Assignment's,Cameo's, and Codex Entries.
Now I might be alone in this but think that Bioware should just forget trying to fix The Import Issues and just create a Save Editor for Dragon Age 2 Via DLC like I have previously stated I would be willing to pay for it.
Forget Silly Weapon Packs get to making something useful like a Save Import DLC allowing us to make all relevant decisions about The Warden and all the key choices from Origins all the way to Witch Hunt "All Other DLC Included as well".

I don't think it is necessarily impossible. I think it may be impossible to fix it in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
A pop-up for manually correcting flags at the beginning of the game for the people with import save issues doesn't sound too difficult to cook up but is unlikely to please those who would rather have everything looking professional and shiny.
It was a suggestion made by a dev (or other staff member) who said they'd bring it up. He couldn't promise anything, of course, and it looks like that idea was poo-poo'd.
I find it a little infuriating.
I don't know if I would be happy with a DLC save editor. I would prefer to have my pop-up and not have to pay for it. At this point however I'm willing to be effectively robbed. The game has sat staring at me for months now, maybe a year. I want to be able to playthrough with my 'ultimate' Dragon Age Origins + DLCs save and for everything to make sense.
At this stage I won't be able to get Dragon Age 3 when they've finished it. I say this because in my heart of hearts I believe that it has the chance to be all what DA2 wasn't.
I'm hoping that ME3 won't have any issues. The Conrad Verner problem irritated me in ME2 yet on the whole I was able to get over that. At least he showed up and hadn't decided to have randomly died.

The main problem was they should have forseen the issues I mean Mass Effect has a few Import Issues like Conrad Verner but the Staggering amount of Decisions in Origins combined with the DLC Choices there was just to many variables to account for.
I actually hope that they scrap the Import Feature in Dragon Age 3 because if the Cluster**** that is Dragon Age 2's Import Issues are any indicator it will be ruined from the start.

I refuse to believe it is 'cannot'. If these issues don't get fixed I'm going to believe they were simply unwilling. You know, unless they come out and explain the situation.
I'm currently also not happy with Bethesda and the Skyrim debacle.
Come the hell on, the two companies actually making the kind of games I want to play in a market mainly consisting of lame shooters and they can't get their shizz together?
It's going to be hard to give up on the idea when so far I can't see it as being completely impossible. Other people who know more about the work than I do have the same view so unless everyone on the internet is a liar (which is possible, I guess, hahaha) I'll hang in there.
I wish they could all be honest, mature, and polite about it. Fans can't be expected to always be polite because half of us are mental and it isn't really our job to make the company look good. Problem is, I think, they can't be open and honest because if they say "Well, we knew it would be a problem but we're going to work on it and keep you all properly informed" then they'd leave themselves open to legal trouble. It really is a shame because communication could have made all the difference in this past... however long it has been. There were staff members who tried, don't get me wrong. On the whole however it still feels pretty insulting.

Lyndsey I agree completely about Dragon Age 2 & Skyrim
I could make a long list of both of the games success's and their Failures but I won't because I am a Devoted RPG Fan and I will continue to give both Companies the Benifit of the Douibt and I still hope for a Patch to fix the Issues but as I have said over & over thats unlikely.
Which is why I said they should create a feature like Mass Effect Genesis it doesn't have to be an interactive Comic but it would give all of us the chance to create the Perfect Imported Save to play in Dragon Age 2

What was the problem with Skyrim? Basically no chance a patch is made to fix the import flags for DA though. Sucks for us 360 users, but it is what it is.

The issues in Skyrim and trust me there are a lot of them are Glitches and broken Quests among other things but at least Bethesda is constantly working on fixes kudos to them for that.
Meanwhile Bioware knows they can't fix the Import Issues from Dragon Age Origins/Awakening not to mention the many DLC's.
Thats what gets me they essently have decided that they are fine with these Broken Import Systems and I know we will never get a fix for the Import Issues but D*** come on Bioware how about a DLC that would allow us to have access to all the Dragon Age 2 Missions,Assignments,Cameos and Dialogs.

I'm just hoping a staff member will finally comment on this thread.
My petition didn't really go so well but then again I was very confused as to how to set it out.
As for what problems there are with Skyrim, it sort of depends on what platform you are playing on. The folk at Bethesda *do* seem to be trying their best though I get the feeling that certain elements within the company are holding the team back. Also the communication, while good, is still not as useful and honest as it could be. There's a list of Skyrim issues here: http://elderscrolls....i/Bugs_(Skyrim)

Don't give up Lyndsey! We need to keep this thread going and sooner or later we will have someone up in Bioware and take notice. If not then we could always start a mob, go up to Edmonton, and start chuckin their games back at them.

Ahaha, for some reason I read 'chucking' as 'clucking'. We should do it dressed as chickens.
In all seriousness though, this whole fiasco has me worried in terms of Mass Effect 3. I should be excited!
I don't know how else to catch their attention short of PMing staff members on here and there's two reasons I don't want to do that; a) I have severe anxiety issues and I'd not be able to feel confident in my post &
I have little hope that it would make a difference.
I don't think it is unreasonable to want to play a game in the manner the creators told me I could.

Dude...why did no one ever bother to make a list of all the bugged flags? Just saying it's alot of import bugs is not an acceptable description, just an annoyance.
I don't think these import bugs are universal tho as Alistair has referred to my female noble as his wife and female dalish as his mistress unpatched. Also I've always had nathaniel appear in all my imports unpatched.

I do think it's important that we list the bugged flags. I don't know all of them, but I know that Zevran's romance dialog is bugged, and that seriously bugs me. (No pun intended.)
Let's get productive in here, make a big list of the bugs we want fixed. A firm, concise list is more likely to be noticed by Bioware than fan-rage.
