Agreed.

I always role-play, even in multiplayer games that aren't RPGs. I'll have to wait and see what choices in customization there are in the co-op though, in order to decide what kind of character I'll role-play.

Nope, won't play "RP" in MP. I doubt we'll have time for that - what I saw of that coop MP reminds me a bit of "Defense Alliance" (mod for UT) or "Tower defense".

Dunno if there's any time for RP.

I wasn't planning on doing multi-player, but I have to admit tha the idea is growing on me. Multi-player RP can be fun by times. 

I kind of want to RP as a Salarian who's afraid of direct confrontation, who'll never, ever come anywhere near a fightfight, and who'll run screaming at the first sight of a Husk. And I definitely want to RP as a Krogan berserker, who'll run in to melee everything in sight, regardless of tactical situation, ignoring weapons. Because I AM KROGAN. Or will be. You get the idea. Or as an Asari who wants to fight for the winning side. Will friendly fire be enabled?  

The idea is definitely growing on me. 

Also, Volus berserker. See Krogan berserker, but with Volus. 

Actually, that sounds like fun.  I'll solo as a likewise Salarian and get killed in the first five minutes just to say I tried the MP.

Well, look at Red vs. Blue.  If you can make a web series out of custom Spartans, you can RP in multiplayer.

No, because I don't play it.

I enjoy deep roleplaying just as much as OP, but this series isn't that great for doing so other than taking a drink on the Normandy after a hard fight and walking instead of jogging. I don't think other players will particularly enjoy you fleeing from firefights, leaving them to do it all.

Maybe I'll shout some generic merc banter for "the lulz" a few times if possible on the PC version(It's probably quick-join only and without built-in voice communication. Maybe Origin will come into play here though).

I might make up a simple backstory for my characters in my head, but that's as far as the RPing goes for me.
