Well, look at Red vs. Blue.  If you can make a web series out of custom Spartans, you can RP in multiplayer.


Cheez you have given me a wonderful idea. On topic yes I love getting into character but I can't really do it around my friends because they're not as nerdy as I am. On the bright side almost none of my friends play ME so I'll be doing everytime I play. Even with people I don't know.:devil:

OMG YES. 

I will find a way to make my character dance. Except, I will be a Krogan who's suffered brain damage that's been aggravated by the indoctrination. He just thinks that he's an Asari stripper.

If I can convince myself to use the multiplayer at all, that would be the requirement. As I probably end up playing it on my own, you can be damn sure that my character(s) will be fully fleshed out individuals.

Depending if I get people to RP with xD
I will not look like an idiot RP-ing by my self.
It will kill my xbox name and reputation ( like I have any) and force me to join the PC Mass Effect world.

I love RP. I would do it at any given opportunity, and highly encourage fellow RPers to seek me out and join in the fun come ME3 co-op.

That said, you non-RPers can relax, because I get the feeling there won't be a lot of opportunities for RP within the ME3 MP system. And that's okay too.

Probably not, while I dig RPG's I am not a big role player, at least not in the sense that I completely flush out my character and give him/her motives for everything that they do. But I won't complain if someone in a group I am playing with wants to RP.

I want to RP as a common foot soldier... one who is simply scared to death when they're ambushed by husks, and who knows what else....

I want to actually feel like I'm fighting in a massive war actually... in the trenches, in the dirt and the blood, fighting for survival

@Anyone who craps on the idea of RP in an MP game.

RP servers for NWN were the second most popular behind PvP servers, and a very close second.
Decent RPGers can take an empty field, fill it with their imagination, and react accordingly. Give us other players to symbiotically cross feed our ideas with, and theres nothing we cant come up with.

Strange how people complain how XYZ "ruins their immersion", yet can seem to grasp the concept of MP RPG.

ME3's multiplayer doesn't sound very conductive to roleplaying. In fact, MP in any game never really is. It's best reserved for chat, forums, and tabletops.

Unless you RP by yourself that is... RP'ing when you play a Predator or Alien in an Aliens vs Predator game can be rewarding...

Yar. Me and me mates be the last remnants of the crew of the Red Dawn, as scurvy a pirating vessel as has ever plied the star lanes, the thrice damned Reapers took our ship, they took our Hannar love slaves, They even slew Captain Bloodface, as nasty a Volus as you'll ever see.
