Not really.

" It is important to note that the system is entirely optional and just
another way players can have control over your game experience – it is
still possible to achieve the optimal, complete ending of the game in
Mass Effect 3 through single-player alone."

Dragon age 2 was just so awful to play. I wanted to love it so bad but i just couldn't. I liked some of the characters but really everything takes place in once city. I got to the second act and realized it was all going to happen in the same city and stopped playing.  I thought maybe the romance story arcs could pull me through but i looked them up online and they just were terrible. This makes me so afraid that mass effect 3 is going to be just as terrible.

You should be very weary. it looks like Me3 is going down the same road as DA2.
But everyone is too busy living in Narnia to acknowledge it.

They also said something about Multiplayer effecting your singleplayer ending. But I'm sure your quote is just as important.

Yes, it CAN affect it positively, by increasing the "Galactic readiness" level. But it will not affect it negatively if you choose not to do it. You just have to do everything in the single player alone to get that perfect ending.

You can still reach the same 'best' ending even when you do not use multi-player... Though I find this funny considering RPGs started as table-tops... and with friends.

If you don't like it

Leave.

Serriously if most of the damn double posting babies would leave, just go, this forum would function alot better. You don't like what they have done, don't buy it, don't play it. But stop ****ing at those of us who wan't too. We won't ever come over to your side. So stop. Just stop.

Anyways the Screenshots are nice.

Too bad this is PART of a series. I already invested time in my Shepard. Believe it or not I want a conclusion to all these plot points floating about. Now, I hear that my conclusion is going to be half assed, so some braindead shooter fans can go bang bang in a CO-OP. Especially, since these fans haven't  been playing the series since the beginning.  Do I not have a right to complain?

They've infected my game and reduced it to goo.

"Leave" what exactly? The board? I leave the Board whenever I want.(or by force sometimes) What I can't exactly leave (thanks to you lovely Gears of War fans) Is the Multiplayer experience. It's now ingrained in my singleplayer experience.

Who do I thank for this disgusting debacle.

I guess you're too stupid to realize what the word "optional" means.

Then again, you're a troll. Logic is something you'll never understand.

When are your cognitive skills going to develop? It's like the right side of your brain has malfunctioned. Troll this, troll that.

What has "Troll"  become synonymous for BLUNT facts.

Casey has told me that my ending can be "better" if I play multiplayer. That might be Optional to you, but it feels like im being pushed into playing there sh#tty coop

wait what. Are you listening to yourself? In one breath you told me Multiplayer has a positive effect, yet, in the other you tell me by not playing it there's no negative effect? Are you HEARING yourself?

it's like all of you guys have lost a chuck of your brains.  Just the fact that I have to play Multiplayer for "galactic readiness" means by not playing it, there is a. NEGATIVE. IMPACT.

Some of us appreciate this multiplayer and aren't butthurt whiners that BioWare "ruined" Mass Effect when it hasn't even been proven yet.

Either way, awesome pics! Good to see they included Salarian after all.

That's whatever everyone said right up till the multiplayer announcment.

"theres no official confirmation"
"theres no offical confirmation"

Zeel, please take a deep breath.  Do you realize that there may be more than one way to accomplish the same goal, one involving multiplayer and one not involving multiplayer?  Look, we totally understand that us xbox gamers have ruined life as you know it, you've been traumatized by our very existence, and will shortly be reponsible for the fall of civilization as you know it.  MY BAD FOR EXISTING.  Now, will you please stop poisoning threads just because I personally ruined your life with my CoD-Gears of War-not-a-real-gamer-self?  I'd appreciate it.  Thanks.

Yes.  In fact, moreso.  It's what we in the know like to call "context".

Holy **** man......

That "readiness" can be achieved the SAME AMOUNT by playing only the single player, you just have to do everything pretty much to get that perfect ending. They're saying an ALTERNATIVE would be the OPTIONAL co-op multiplayer where you can achieve that same "readiness" with others if you don't want to do everything in the story. What part of "it is still possible to achieve the optimal, complete ending of the game in Mass Effect 3 through single-player alone." do you not ******* understand?

Dear sir
Thank you for exsiting in this world to correct th emistakes we mortals, fumbling in darkness,do in our idiocity. Please pardon us for havign a different opinion than yours and take.A.CHILL.PILL.We have more than enough peopel claiming that they know the truth when they dont.

How the hell is a game ruined through Multiplayer and even better Coop????
For the fifth time,NO,the multiplayer ISNT needed to get a perfect ending,NO u wont have to play it.Its completely OPTIONAL.Get it?????Good.
A game like ME3 nto only wont be hindered by coop,it will be MUCH beter. What beter than a campaign game to tie a coop?????
ME3 solo was made by a team will MP by another, menaing the quality of the SP is excellent. If u dont liek it dont play it for gods sake.Just dont insult everyoen with a different opinion.
FYI i am gonna play th e**** out of it and have so much fun.

One of the main things I always wanted to do in Mass Effect is to control other races. I really hope that's true. *-*

There is no way we'll find out about the quality of the single player till March and what's done is done. Might as well move on with life and find out at launch whether they released another DA2.

Guys, best way to engage an aggressive poster is to not engage them. Let them ruffle their feathers and be the one to move the conversation to a better ground of discussion.

it's folly to assume SP will be bad because they developed MP.....it's not as if they are going to sit in western canada with their thumbs set to 'upassandrotate' because the team in montreal is working on MP.....

also, most early indication points to being able to be just as ready to fight the reapers in SP or MP.....they are a company in business, for profit....
