I installed the STEAM version of Dragon Age Ultimate. I neber owned any other version.  If that matters.  I have the following file versions:

DAOrigins v1.04
DAOriginsLauncher 1.01
DAOriginsConfig 1.03

I am running on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

I notived that all the DLC seemed to be there but unauthorized.  So I thought easy fix. I need to log in to the EA servers.   No.  Since Every Time I try that the box where you type your login email and password tells me I am not connected to the internet. 

Well dangit.

Anyway  I turned off Firewall and Antivirus as a test.  In the Windows 7 software and Norton 2011.

Didn't help.

Any ideas?

Common problem, asked quite a good number of times before. I am pretty sure the fix is fairly simple, but it never happened to me, and while I probably read some of the answers, I cannot remember what the solution was. Use Bing, Google, Yahoo, etc and add a site redirector to the criteria:

site:social.bioware.com

The on-site Finder tool just doesn't do nearly good enough of a job.

(I'd be willing to bet that Raen Imrahl collected the answer in his summary of fixes, pinned at the top of the forum.)

Ok I found it. I have PeerBlock installed. Doh!


I closed it and poof. I can log in.
