and
whose SP story is the multiplayer missions affecting in the party, the host's story? i don't want to play the same mission 4 times for my friends
just a thought
even after you kill the reapers and the fight is over and you are just flying around scanning planets, will you be able to continue with the coop mode in past missions or play in traning missions, kinda like Pinnacle Station from ME1?
this multiplayer sounds fun and im excited for it, but i just don't get how they are gonna make this work while making sense in the story.

You and Killjoy post that quote multiple times as some sort of proof that SP will not give the best possible ending.
It's also rather dishonest to keep deliberately ignoring the context. There's a term for that: quote-mining.
So what is the context?

Sad, but true.

Ugh. You're actually such a dense moron.
There's no need for name-calling, it's just a game at the end of the day.
You know, I don't care what side you're on, that's pathetic.
I've seen you pull this trick multiple times, where you completely change what someone said and then respond as if scolding them for whatever you put in place of their actual words.
Knock it the hell off. Reported.
(And I'm sure you'll misquote me in the same pathetic way now too.)

that right after he says what you're quoting, he says that the complete ending is still achieveable by single player alone

They can't.
Look at:
MGS4
Bioshock 2
Uncharted 2
Dead Space 2
GTA 4
All of those games were previously single player that had MP modes added to them that contributed nothing to the game. MP mode in those games sucked. It happens time after time after time. It's a simple cash grab and adds nothing. MP just does not belong.

You've been given the context I don't know how many times now by I don't know how many different people. I'm not doing it yet again because you'll just say it doesn't matter and then repeat the same behavior.

Particularly the ones that don't think the MP will affect the SP.
Aw, that's cute. He's in denial.
Butts gonna hurt.

It would seem that several people on the forum can't be bothered form a cogent and coherent agrument, and must instead fall back on repeating the same tired, pathetic, boxed insults in the direction of anyone who doesn't agree with them.

Every time Casey says ME3 is the best place to start, I die a little more inside.
Prepare to die completely on the inside and outside when you find out that NONE of your choices matter, because all it's actually about is filling up a meter in the corner of your screen.
This reminds me of how disappointed I was at the ending of Fable 3...but 50 times worse.

They fit it in the story because Shep isn't there, the story behind it is you are a 4 person squad under the command of Admiral Hackett and you're fighting for resources/whatever on various planets in the galaxy

It was specified in another thread that the Galactic Readiness is but one part of it. No matter how high your readiness bar is it still depends on what choices you make.

Well maybe they can just add a pinnacle station coop mode with dlc maps and missions and other stuff like that, i wouldn't mind that at all.

You mean the context of the other devs statements, or the context of the rest of Hudson's statement?
Maybe it was silly of me, but I assumed that the person who originally posted it wouldn't be intellectually dishonest enough to post it in that form if the surrounding context of the quote significantly alters the meaning of Hudson's statement. As it was originally posted here, the question remains, "better" than what? IF Hudson's full statement makes that clear, fine.

Krogan, Salarian, Turian, Asari, and Drell under the command of an Alliance officer? That doesn't seem right. Is that really what the article said?

It does? I thought it was just a game with some optional multiplayer mode that will have absolutely no impact on the singleplayer unless I want it to.
Well, good thing I paid for the CE about...half a year ago, then.

It was silly. When you constantly put up a quote as evidence and have others call you out on it it would be best to actually find the source of that quote (the video) then confirm if it was out of context or not.

Though, what does "You can reach the highest levels of success in the single player experience alone, but Galaxy at War gives you alternative ways to get there" really mean? Will by playing some segments in multiplayer cut them out of single player or make a mission easier? I'm thinking that in single player you might be coordinating with ground forces which could be carried out through multiplayer. Interesting...

I never said that. I said it contributed nothing to the single player game. And it didn't.

Yes, it was in the leaked OXM article I do believe. I guess what with the fate of the galaxy at stake everyone put aside their differences

Well, some of us have a bit more perspective about these things and don't get quite so melodramatic when we have the rather minor misfortune (in the grand scheme of things) of buying a bad video game.

The only "calling out" was people calling me illiterate and a fanboy and other such boxed insults because of how I was reading the posted statement. If you or they were so sure that the Hudson statement was being taken completely out of context, you could have said that. But unless I missed it in the storm of stupid insult posts, no one did.
(And no, "but some other dev said!" is not the context we're talking about here.)
