@Lunatic Lk47 I actually think the multiplayer is a good idea it will get ME the sales it deserves without compromising the story for CoD versus mode crap

New DRM protocols have given the 360 discs -- the biggest problem with packing things in to-date -- an extra gigabyte of space. The developers have also confirmed that they've been given the opportunity to work with this extra gig for ME3.

I must admit, you're doing a better job than any of the developers are in trying to convince me that this isn't an absolute train wreck of an idea of Dragon Age 2-esque proportions.

But I'm still highly skeptical that,, at the end of the day, the team were able fill the single player game with every idea they thought worthy of an epic conclusion( that their budget allowed,) look down upon it and go "Huh.  We've still got better than 2 gig left.  What else can we fit in there?"

Last time I checked, Firefly is available on a DVD box set, not exculsively available on Hulu/YouTube/whatever stream site. Gaming is a DIFFERENT BEAST.

Does all that bolding help your points get across?

Doing this just in case any idiot decides to cherry-pick my posts or take them out of context.

Lunatic LK47 ......

I am your pal and all, right?  All I ask is that you give it a chance.  We will co-op.  We will stomp faces together.   If you hate it - then cool.  I accept that.  However, Casey Hudson claims that it will not affect single player.  I ask you to reserve judgement on that as well.  We will see.

This game is unlike any other I have played - looking for past credence may well be a waste of time.  Instead lets try and take a little on faith.  ME 1 and 2 have proven to be good games in my opinion - so I will buy 3 on faith.  Thats all we can really do - decide to get it or not.  I say get it.  The rest we will take from there.

I am really looking forward to Mass Effect 3: Galaxy at War. It seems like it will be a hit. If anyone wants to play when it comes out, message me on March.

Oh my god, I have no idea what I'd do without you these past few days.

That made me laugh to no end. And I don't think the coffee I'm currently sipping had more than half to do with it.

Heh. Well I'll... take that as a compliment. :P

Yeah, I can't blame you for being skeptical. We won't know for sure that everything turned out fine until we're all playing the game. And then individual interpretations and hopes for the finale will obviously factor into our varying opinions on the matter.

It doesn't sound as horrible as I imagined it being, other than the fact that it has an effect on my single player campaign.

Although humans are my number one choice (yes, yes, I know, "boring! Why bother?") quarians are totally next in line. We need to stay tuned for plenty of ME3 updates in the months to come though. There's no reason to believe with complete certainty that quarians (and geth!) won't be available races.

my other choice would be a female drelll :)

I'm actually a little stoked for MP, but I hope I can still get the good ending in SP mode

Continues to sound cool. About the only way this could sound better is if PC and consoles have cross-platfrom play - but I'm not about to hold my breath for something that only a couple games have done in my memory.

I'm still a bit concerned about the whether and the granularity of control we'll have over carrying "readiness" stats into single player games once it's been earned in Galaxy at War. I don't want to be forever locked out of any particular no/low-readiness states in the SP campaign just because I've played MP. But I'm guessing the folks handling GaW will probably have that pretty well refined by the time ME3 releases.

A comment on BioWare Pulse videos: I love that you're going to the trouble to give us these videos, and they've been very well constructed once they get to the actual interview/overview/whatever. But the goofy intros are a bit excessive. The time to actual content on this video (which I define in this case as Time To Mr. Hudson) was a full minute. I don't need to be assured that I want to watch the video, I already clicked in to it. Putting that kind of filler at the beginning simply encourages the less committed to click away again.

I going to be a Turian or Quarian since my friends already took claim over the Krogan, Drell, and Salarian of the group.

How was that inflammatory?

INCORRECT! As Killjoy will likely agree, trolls are people who have opinions you don't like.

No, Ram was closer to the real definition.

The post I was responding to was fairly trollish.

Trolls are people who post inflammatory remarks to get a reaction out of others. = They are called Greifers a species known to dwell inside XBL and occasionally swarm out to infect other places.

Trolls are people who have opinions you don't like.
= Those are just people who are obviously wrong.

Trolls are the people who post comments that have bugger all to do with topic of thread. = Like this reply which has bugger all to do with multiplayer.

P.s. Still waiting on answer to my question from earlier. When are they doing Q & A?

Why dont they just make a game system specifically for Mass Effect.

The disc would be around the size of a record.

They should just throw in a third disc and get it over with.

I'm fine with swapping those things.

Except that it's Xbox disk space limits that ended up gimping ME2 so that you had to get the companions in a certain order.

Given how popular Quarians are, I actually suspect we'll see them available in MP.

Aw, boo-hoo.

Too bad that they didn't even attempt to use it correctly, since I had to change discs a whooping two times.

IF they do not use 3 discs minimum on the 360 I would be very worried that the game is much lower quality and content than they claimed, because they claimed they were concerned wouldn't fit on 25GB BluRay disc which would be a lie if anything less than 3 discs for 360 given no game on 360  [multiple discs titles] I have ever owned used double sided discs in which case they will only use double layered at best which is for two discs about 16GB and half that for single layered discs to fit both SP and MP on at same time aswell as all these promised features and vast amount of cinematics due to being last in trilogy.

I'm willing to give this a try before passing judgement, despite having been skeptical before. It's nice that they adressed some of the fears people have been having in video etc, remains to be seen how it all works out though.

I'll wager no.

Not one game or system has had cross-platform capability well pretty much ever.

Still looks good and its not a death match deal so yay.

actually halo did with online  pc and xbox
