Do i need account in Origin to  play Mass Effect 3 single player or multiplayer? I'm asking to be sure if to buy ME 3 CE or cancel me preorder.
This is how Origin works for those that have nothing to hide:

Well it seems you've already got Dragon Age: Origins, so what's the problem?

By being registered at these forums you already have an Origin account. BSN = Origin account. Now, I take you actually think about the Origin client/app and whether will it be required to play the game. We don't know the answer to that yet.

1. Please don't confuse that damnable program with one of the greatest (imo) games of all time. It's Origin - Not Origins

2. Stanley Woo closed the other Origin thread yesterday and said today (12-10) they'd reveal more information about Origin and ME3 - still waiting.

The latest we have on whether ME 3 will require Origin is a tweet from Jesse Houston.  He said :-

Gtez wrote ....... We're still working out the details around Origin. We're releasing a FAQ soon about how we're planning on using it.

The tweet clearly statest that they are using it as in "how they are planning on using it".  I think at this point there is no doubt that Mass Effect 3 will require Origin.  I am still holding out a bit of hope that singleplayer will not require Origin but I get the feeling that is unrealistic.

So what Origin or Origins wow one letter so much fun:) DA is great but Baldurs Gate Saga is better( O DA2 sucks:)). To IsaacShep you wrong to be part of something you need to agree to new conditions if not and they still do as they want they breaking the law.

Here's a new thread to talk about whether Origin is required to pay ME3, to replace the one that was closed.
It's buried in Off Topic unfortunately, to avoid being closed again.

There's no need for intrusive software like this on PC either but EA does it anyway<_<

The funny thing is that Neurotics doesn't realise that the type of stuff Origin does is EMBEDDED into his Xbox 360 already.  If you use an Xbox you can bet your life Microsoft know everything about how you use their console (same goes for the PS3).

But this topic isn't about rubbish like that and I am sure Neurotics didn't come in here to troll :?.  Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for this "faq" I mean there is only one question we need answering and that is "Does Mass Effect 3 use Origin ?".

I honestly don't see what the big deal is, they were nice enough to tell you that they'd be collecting your info even though they don't actually have to tell you, lots of things collect your info without informing you, google, ebay, facebook, some anti-virus software, etc

But do google, ebay and facebook sift through your hard disk, save whatever they found in a profile, and then share it with other companies? I sure hope not...:?

Origin doesn't share the info with other companies, "EA would never sell your personally identifiable information to
anyone, nor would it ever use spyware or install spyware on users'
machines."

I appreciate what you are trying to do but this isn't a topic to debate Origin.  There is a topic for that in the off topic section.  This is a topic for us to discuss whether ME 3 will use Origin or not.

If you are perfectly happy to use Origin then that is your choice and I certainly won't try to persuade you other wise.  However there are some such as myself that do not want Origin on their PC (for what ever reason) and that is why we would like an answer as to whether Mass Effect 3 will use Origin or not.

And this is why i dont have facebook, ebay, tweeter and other s**t that collect date from me computer.
Back to the point i know that Mass Effect 3 will be a great game but why EA try so hard to make sell of Bioware so low many people will not buy this game if they need to have Origins account i'm one of them( and yes this is mine opinion:))
