It's pretty simple, buy the game and use a crack that does not require origin to play. This will also keep multiplayer out of the game (will not work).
Giving them money then cracking the game doesn't exactly send the right message. In fact it just encourages EA to keep doing invasive stuff like this.

Sure, but I want that CE! And I bet there´s enough people who won´t buy it...
At least in Germany, where privacy advocates already are starting to analyse the software! I really hope this gets revolved till March!
This is really disrespectful from EA (I´d use other adverbs/adjectives, but I´ll refrain from doing it...) <_<

I only just read the EULA and as far as I can tell, a few of the articles are violating the law of the land, at least in the country where I live. And no, EA, you can´t specify that english law apply to the EULA nor can you demand that the user recognize that their only recourse is to terminate their account with EA, waiving their right to sue you, nor can you specify that, in the case of some articles violating the law, they would be modified only so far as to comply with it while maximizing their effect. In short: If this EULA were to be applied in [a western european country], half of it would be null and void and you, if you did the things mentioned in those articles, would be breaking the law and could be taken to court. I really want to play ME3, but should the EULA go unchanged and Origin be required, even if the game is bought on a hard copy, I will not only not buy the game, but also write the consumer protection agency, demanding that the sale of the game be prohibited.

Origin is not legal in Germany. At least not the "spyware part". I hope EA will either remove that Spyware from ME3 or I really, really, really think twice if I want to buy ME3.
I have no problems with Steam and accepted the fact you have to activate Windows. Can live with CD-Key and an account system you need to verify your legal copy. I just don't want spyware on my PC searching for software and such. Either you trust your customers, EA, or you don't, but in case you don't you really should fire some of your managers responsible for this mess - nothing is easier than getting new & better ones, they all can be replaced within one week.
I'm fine if you're checking if ME3 is a legal copy. I'm fine if you pull a kill switch option for accounts using hacked copies. That's okay, that's legit. I have a problem with "searching your folders for other stuff". I don't have any illegal copies on my PC, I just don't like getting tossed like a criminal.
Seriously: you can make money without holding a gun into your customers face.
*sigh*
I'm a bit upset since I read some news about Origin in Battlefield 3 today. And that looks bad. Seriously - first Ubisoft with their "hacks", now you.

Ahh that makes more sense. Because in order to use a crack to play a game you need to install the game which will still require origin.

You read only some news? It's all over the web how countless people can't even install let alone play the game because of Origin or Battlelog or whatever. I hope this is a message to EA but I doubt it, as long as it doesn't hit them in their wallets, they don't seem to care one bit.<_<

I just read it on three or four websites - one of them gaming, another for IT experts. Yep - even experts are watching EA.
I'm really wondering what kind of guys deciding such stuff. I mean every (gaming) company has an interest that their customers buy their stuff and don't pirate it. They just shouldn't become pirates by themself. Installing some kind of spyware to ensure the customer is using only legal copies IS a pirate act in my eyes.
So all I'd like to see is a change in anti-piracy-policy of EA. Lemme say it this way:
Origin - okay
Spyware - no go
Banning accounts with illegal copies - yes
Allowing players to reactivate banned accounts by buying that game - yes
Works fine for me.

If not, like others suggested, you still can use the crack and buy the CE edition when this will be sorted out.
One question I have though for people knowing more than me... If Origin is installed on a PC and is uninstalled after, does it leave unwanted active stuff in or is it a clean install?? If it's not clean, what must be done?

At amazon Germany ppl have started monitoring Origin and they found it down in their familypicture files and taxes files and mobile phone backups. They are currently taking screenshots and are posting them to popular German newsstation. Other people are being asked to do the same. I don't know if this is important to any of you since I'm not in touch with anything besides German law but maybe others might want to follow the example?

Yeah, it's quiet insane over there if you follow the threads (which I currently do). They even start a ruckus after amazon deleted many 1-star reviews with the highest "helpful"-scores. Just watch the page, we are over 1000 1-star reviews at amazon alone.
Popular game magazines are currently getting ready for resistance, too.
(Yeah, I actually have fun watching this, it's sad, I know...)

on the countrary. When EA see that people bought the game legaly but did not install Origin it will send the right message: "We want your games and are willing to pay for them, but we will not take Origin, the PC cancer."

Wrong!, check out Fifa 2012 or Battlefield 3. Both got cracked and does not need origin (offline mode / single player)

It's capitalism. EA, like many/all companies, just want more cash. If you buy the game, they will get your money and that's what they want. I'm sure they don't really care if you hack the game to avoid Origin, because they will continue to push it hard anyway (financed by the money you spent on ME3).

1.262 Reviews:
5 Stars: (94)
4 Stars: (19)
3 Stars: (18)
2 Stars: (20)
1 Star: (1.111)
It seems the customers don't want the Origin client on their PCs! This is the proof that we are not only a few paranoid users. The 1 Star value grew up since yesterday from 0 to over 1,100 (and still growing). The users have given this bad review because of the Origin.
I hope Bioware will look at this...

Found the article an hour ago or so. They use unusually strong language, which means they're not at all worried about being sued for calling Origin "spying software": A lawyer is quoted speaking of "extensive violations of data protection laws and consumer rights".ColorMeSuprised wrote...
But finally Spiegel-online, one of Germans more reputable information mags picked up on the story and even lawyers and judges deal with this problem since the EULA is clearly a violation of German laws and as one lawyer put it: One cannot abolish laws in the country of their customers.
Of course, EA refuses to answer to any questions.
There's also an initiative under way to ban BF3 in Germany for this.
All this hasn't gone to court yet, but at least here in Germany I guess we could actually file a suit against EA, demanding either damages or removal of the spying functions from the software.

Yeah, that´s what I love about Germany! Really tough privacy security regulations

1 star = 1142 and counting
Other Stars = 152 and faultering

Another user made a monitoring screenshot of scanning the "Sony Ericsson PC Suite" folder, including all files (phone calls, sms etc.).
And now, fanboys, tell me there are no private data and I'm paranoid.
I want to play ME3 and not my tax bills on EA databases.
