How about they give us the choice of buying the disks and installing the game and running the game as a real piece of software, without the need for BS like Origins OR Steam.
Origin will be required to play Mass Effect 3

Pirates will always find a way to pirate something and thinking that Origin and Steam will be able to stop it is naive. It doesn't matter how tightly EA pulls the leash, in the end, the only ones who suffer from it are the paying customers.

Which is why I said an "easy" way: doing it that way would practically be akin to welcoming pirates. It's really a lose-lose situation; you're basically choosing between bad and worse.Aeowyn wrote...

Any reasonable estimates as to when said clarification can be given?
Hopefully in time to cancel the preorder should it turn out that Origin will be required.
Greetings,
Trayno

No estimate yet, but it is in progress. Since you can cancel up to day of launch, this does give a little buffer.

Yeah, they changed the EULA, but..... ¿what about the software? they can change the EULA as many times as they but, while the software isn't changed and contnues behaving the same way......Ieldra2 wrote...
Well, this does indeed look quite a bit different. They explicitly say they'll collect no data which have no connection to the application (meaning Origin). There is no agreement any more to collect data from anywhere on your computer. No mention of giving data to third parties as well. I haven't analyzed every detail, and it still has one or two things possibly null and void under German law, but not in the part about data collection. Mostly it looks acceptable. Not too different from Steam if I recall things correctly.Wittand25 wrote...

Now they need to correct the license agreement for the other countries as well.

And BF3 is finally ranked with just 1-star. Enough 1-star reviews to cancel out the other votes. (No, I'm not malicious.

Maybe, maybe not - since people copied their deleted reviews into the comments again. =) And I doubt they deleted 1500 reviews.

when I look now, there are 2400 1 star reviews, and one of the one star reviews have 2519 customers out of 2577 finding it as helpfull...
I would wager that is an indication that there are more people than the registered and displayed votes agreeing with there being a problem.

Why? Is it backlash over Origin or does the game suck? lol

Most of the reviewers said that the game is 5 stars, but because of Origin they send it back and rated it with 1 star

Because of Origin.
This was one form of our protest. Now there are TV news and almost every important newspaper is writing articles about Origin.
Look here for further information. Though there is a lot more now than is posted in the opening post.
BTW: We encourage other countries to follow our example and fight for their rights.
