Vomit.

I remember trying to play Mechwarrior 4 with an integrated chip. Blockiest game ever made, pre-2000, and it still chugged.

Imma go overkill with my proper gaming PC, just so I don't have to upgrade again in another year.

And I'll just keep gaming on my HDTV, PS3, 360 and Wii. I want it all -- I want a high-end gaming rig too -- but reality is a harsh mistress. I just don't have the cash to make big purchases but once a year or so and this is the route I've chosen; I don't regret it, I do love the variety of my gaming as it stands, but there are definitely some perks to PC gaming that I hope I can one day take advantage of.

Would absolutely love to see something like this, it'd certainly make the playthroughs before ME3's release a bit more enjoyable. I've been using TexMod to get the ultra high-res textures on ME2 for awhile now, but it'd still be nice if BioWare released an official pack to make it a little bit easier.

I think it's pretty much whichever one you want.  At various times one was on top: about...5+? years ago ATI cards were the best, but then they were bought by AMD and nVidia's cards got better...now I think it's pretty even.

I personally only buy ATI if I can help it, I despise nVidia. This is almost a paradox, though, as I also only buy Intel and never AMD processors.

Right now both are pretty neck-and-neck on most things. The only thing you don't want to buy AMD anytime soon is processors. Their current gen and next gen look okay, but Intel is pretty much crushing the processor market right now.

I prefer NVidia.  I just got a GTX 570, and it's amazing.

On Topic:  Yes.  Absolutely.  Definitely.  I would love to see that for whatever version they can make work.  I don't have ME for PC yet, I want to see if they release a ultimate edition with all of the dlc eventually, but i will certainly buy the pc version if they will update the textures.

You gotta be a little careful, some ATI cards don't like some Intel processors and vice versa.  It's weird that way.

They swap fairly regularly. In terms of price vs hardware performance there's usually not much in it, so IMO you should get whichever one is making the most robust drivers these days.

I'm on a 720$ laptop, with a cooler slung under it.

ATI 5650, 1.7GHz Quaddie. Lacks processing power but I can JUST manage a 40FPS if I keep the resolution down. Athough I have a 1100$ PC ready to go on Newegg.ca, and it will pack a punch.

Dang, son, I just bought a Radeon 5450. I am jelly.

Intel i7 2.0 GHz. Its a quad core with Hyperthreading.

Also got a single Nvidia GEFORCE 560M with 2 GB VRAM.

I really want to get ME1 and 2 for it (Recently bought, have 2 on PS3.)

I would want this so unbelievably bad. Would be a good way to hype ME3 too.

Phenom II x6 Black Edition 3.33 GHz
8GB Ram
ATi HD 5870 1GB

Worked fine for me in DA2 as well, I would love to see some high res packs for all the games in the series, especially ME3.  It would be nice to have a DX11 mode too.

I would want the frame rate issues resolved for ME1 on the Xbox 360 first and foremost

That was the only draw back I had playing ME1. Hi-res texture at this point wouldn't matter to me.

My machine

2.8GHz Dual Core AMD
4 GB Ram
ATI 5670 1GB gfx

Will be upgraading GFX to either ATI 6770 or ATI 6870.

Would I have problems with the texture pack?

What resolution are you running at? Full HD I think you might take a fair hit to your FPS.
