Go buy something good. Or hell, just re-play DAO.

Even at $15, this game is not worth it. Consider the time you will lose to this waste of a game. Your time should be worth more to you than the fact that it is "something you can play for only $15".

Why play Origins when he can play the superior DA II?

Go find your own point rather than re-using mine and reversing the terms.
I'd rather eat a turd sandwich than play DA2 again.

I prefer ME2 to ME1, and I still say DA2 is a mockery.thats1evildude wrote...
Based on that, I'll say no.
My assessment is based on your preference for ME1 to ME2. DAII is much closer to ME2 in style.

Here's a questionaire:
1) Do you like seeing reused maps in dungeons, caves and indoor dwelings? Do you like to see close to no variation in every cave you enter?
2) Do you like to talk to your companions only when the game tells you to? Do you enjoy not having the ability to talk to them anytime you wish?
3) Do you like the feeling of not having any impact on the game world? Do you relish seeing the same outcome for just about any decision you make in the game?
If any of the above is a yes for you, then you should buy this game.

Better questions to ask yourself are:
1) Do you enjoy playing games with cool graphics?
2) Do you enjoying playing games with a great story?
3) Do you enjoying playing games with incredible combat?
4) Do you enjoying playing awesome games?
If you answered yes to any of the above, Dragon Age II might be for you.

For a low price? Yes, but forget the "DA" label, it is not a sequal for Origins. Just its own little game with lots of annoying flaws.
That's right. DA II isn't a 'sequal' (whatever that is! LOLOL), it's a superior sequel to Origins.

Know the difference between facts and opinions? My first 2 points are facts. The 3rd point is an opinion that few would dispute.
All 4 of your points, on the other hand, are opinions, and highly debatable.

At the same time, there are books in fantasy series which tell a story of a specific character. Think of your Origins story spanning 40 hours instead of 1-2. It's a story of a character and his buddies in a city - a big detailed beautiful city, which I personally found to be exciting.
It's like a prequel novel about Raistlin and Caramon Majere - twin heroes who fight almighty evil in the famous Chronicles Trilogy of Dragonlance series. If you know Dragonlance that is.
Buy that, fall into the city and its live and you'll enjoy it.
Technically, I do have a problem with armor not equipped on companions (or that even it's not planned to be visually displayed for the future) and maybe darkspawn all look like Architect's deciples from Awakening, but these are technical issues. Sucks that skills like stealing are also gone, of course.
