You are incredibly rude, judgemental, and no small bit prejudice.
If you wish to make assumptions fine. Nothing I said personally insulted you, except for apparently the fact that I am gay. So I can only say this. Grow up.
@ghostbusters101.
I apologise if it seemed like I was saying everyone hates the game, or that everyone who was posting negatively was a random irrational hater. I wasnt meaning to come off like that.
I think most people who bought the game do like it. My point was merely that I reckon that some folk who genuinely disliked the game would probably find that their dislike would come more from their expectations than any being really wrong with the game.
I wasnt counting the trolls, and the people who like to irrationally hate on things.
Not that I dont think there are legitimate reasons to dislike DA2. I just reckon that on balance, overall DA2 is a decent game. Not a great game mind, but a decent one. 15 dollars is the figure thats being bandied about the now for the price of the game, in the UK that would be around 11/12 pounds.
Most folks can afford that; and while I didnt find the game worth the 40 to 50 pound price tag on release it is certainly worth around a tenner.

Even at $15, this game is not worth it. Consider the time you will lose to this waste of a game. Your time should be worth more to you than the fact that it is "something you can play for only $15".
Go buy something good. Or hell, just re-play DAO.
Why play Origins when he can play the superior DA II?
Go find your own point rather than re-using mine and reversing the terms.
I'd rather eat a turd sandwich than play DA2 again.
DA II is an amazing game that is better than Origins.
I agree, I really liked how I'd press a button and something awesome would happen
Indeed. Every single moment of DA II is awesome.
he was being sarcastic lol.

It isn't a terrible game. The core game by itself isn't very striking. It's good, but it feels "incomplete"--as in there's a lot of lost potential. I liked the direction, but too much changed in not enough time. I just finished Mark of the Assassin (the best way to hook me into a story is involving fancy parties and nobility), and it feels a lot more refined and unique. It's encouraged me to have a go at Legacy whenever I get another spare $10.
The story is decent, but the lack of meaningful decisions or the inability to intervene in certain situations were really detrimental to my having fun. Combine those with the over-used environments and unnecessarily long combat battles, and, well, I overall had an average amount of fun playing through the game.
Still, at $15, I wouldn't say it's something you should just miss out on entirely if you've liked enough of what you do hear about it. If you enjoy it enough, as well, then I would recommend Mark of the Assassin. In my honest opinion, I probably enjoyed those few hours more than the entirety of the game. Here's hoping Legacy is similar when I do decide to make the purchase. I didn't feel like replaying the game at first, but now I think interspersing the DLC into the middle of the game helps break up how lackluster it can begin to feel.
If you don't want to read all of that, (I ramble. It's a problem sometimes, I know) then just know that I think $15 is a decent price to purchase Dragon Age II.

Yet so many people will say the majority of it doesnt. Which doesnt make you or that statement right, or wrong. No game has every second an awesome experience as that is almost saying its a perfect game in which there is no perfect game.

Regardless, while DAII did not wow me as much as I was expecting it is in no way a bad game.
It's just that a game coming from Bioware should be better.

Subjective question. Each person is different. Even though I am going to skip this game, other people have embraced "Dragon Age II" on some level. Its all about personal preference.TotalGoth wrote...
I have an opportunity to get the game for arround 15 bucks, but I'm wondering if it's even worth it. I've heard alot people say its kind of bland and lame, also being a big let down from origins. Is this true? Is the game not even worth playing? Just so you know I'm a busy college student, and my gaming time is limited. I'd rather not waste it playing some mediocre bioware cash in. So keep that in mind when making your reccomendations.
I am holding out for "Dragon Age III", which has been officially announced.

So I am reading these articles you have linked and this is what i've found :
"Now it seems that several new details have been released for Dragon Age 3, even though the game has yet to be officially confirmed"
"While not a confirmation that ‘Dragon Age 3′ is in development, BioWare has begun discussing their vision for marrying elements from both ‘Origins” and ‘Dragon Age 2.
Maybe I just missed this "official announcement" you mentioned.

Always into the details aren't you xkg.
Honestly is the OP even reading this anymore? If he or she is would this be in any way helpful?
Again I say PLAY DEMO (It's FREE). Like or dislike, buy or not buy. Serously what else has to be said?

Do not wait too long, if you don't want to pay with your privacy. EA will force you to install Origin and that will cost you your privacy.

i haven't read anything that covered the full extent of it. It really is difficult to put into words.

Devs saying it's "been selling well" without providing numbers is meaningless.

It is difficult to put into words just how 'bad' DA II is. I try and I try but I just can't seem to find anything bad to say about it. That should tell you something, shouldn't it?
