I thought he ended up taking redcliffe and Arl Eamon steps down so shouldn't he be Arl Teagan now? Why is he still referred to as a Bann is Mark of the Assassin. Is this oversight or?

I'm sure it's just more handwaving.
Anything that happened in Origins doesnt' necessarily hold true in DA2. I read somewhere that the Origins epilogue slides are actually just "rumors" and not fact.
Basically the writers make the story up as they go.

Did the epilogue card say he became Arl right after the events of Origins? Maybe he will eventually become Arl....someday.

From what I remember, if the Warden abandoned Redcliffe it's turned over to Teagan shortly after the game ends, but is unable to restore it. If Redcliffe is saved, Teagan assumes direct control in time/eventually.
So I figure either he's not been made Arl yet, or wouldn't be refered to as such since the place is abandoned.

Pff... If I would be Eamon I also would send my brother with my wife to some party. He's probably having a good time, hanging out in his castle and enjoys the fact that nobody is ****ing at him.

In Ferelden, yes, because noblemen are (sort of) elected and/or appointed, titles are not purely inherited, although people do place a great deal of stock in certain bloodlines that have, uh, shall we say, antique value.

I forgot that. I suppose Eamon's line has failed then, so Teagan would inherit his brothers estates anyway. Still, it's strange that Eamon should abdicate.

Well if i recall in DA2 when you meet King Alistair, he called Teagan with no title. so my guess is he is still a Bann and would take over in the near future as Arl.

As far as I am concerned he marries one of them! Actually I had a bug once where he married both of them in my epilogue, so maybe he couldn't decide between the two to bring & choose a random person?

I was wondering that too... However, in the Redcliffe Chantry, there is a girl there who asks you to find her missing brother. It turns out he is hiding in their house, trying to find their father's sword. If you fetch the sword and let them have it, the epilogue states...
I thought that was pretty fun/cute.If the Warden paid for Kaitlyn's sword enough to travel to Denerim she uses the small fortune to open a foundry. She becomes wealthy, respected, and meets Bann Teagan at court by chance. She marries him months after that. This can only happen if the Warden pays before the "Attack at Nightfall" Quest, not after.
But yes, it does make sense for the various Epilogues to be only rumor or conjecture, since there are so damned many. This would also apply to all of those 'Warden disappearing through the mirror' ones after Witch Hunt (which my Warden does not do).
