[KOS-MOS56]

The one race I really connected with in the Mass Effect Universe was the
Quarians. I was really disappointed to see that they were not one of
the 6 race eligible for selection for the Co-op part of the game. I
still think ME3 is going to probably be the best game I have ever had
the privaledge of experiencing, but I just was heart-broken I won't be
able to represent the migrant fleet with my friends.

Created this tread to see if anyone else would really love to be a Quarian in
the "War for the Galaxy"... who knows... there might be a big enough
following to maybe have it included in some DLC or possibly even launch.
Post if you support "Quarians for Co-op!" If not, I can dream =) Keelah

Agreed, Quarians should definatly be a race in co-op. Its just plain wrong without them. xP

I would love to play as a Quarian engineer. I'm sure they will play a big part in the single player so they should definitely be in the co-op.

Advantages:
-Good at Tech attacks
-More shields

Disadvantages:
-Very low health

Where did you see that these six races were going to be the only raes you could choose.  Those were probably just some of the races that you could choose in multiplayer, not the only ones.  We're still 4 months away from launch, I would be surprised if they didn't annonce more races for co-op.


Edit:  I too was planning on playing as a quarian infiltrator for the co-op so they better be there come March 6, or as DLC if EA absolutely has to have even more of my money (cuz god knows they already have a lot of it).

Yeah, they are taking away my favorite race! there is no reason for Quarians to be kept out from co-op.
So please bioware, make it happen, I want to be a Quarian Infiltrator =D

Quarians can be enemies in ME3 if you side with Geth and same for Geth.

Quarians probably didn't make the cut because they more or less don't have biotics and it wouldn't make much sense for a highly trained quarian to be working for the alliance instead of for their fleet, and Geth would make no sense unless they start making Legion model geth as the new standard and they would also be limited in class choices

Quarians should definitely be in co-op, it just doesn't seem right without them.
While I'm here I will also say I support Geth for co-op as well.

I agree completely.

Tali is an obvious fan favorite, and Shepard has been fighting alongside her people and learning about her culture for two whole games now. How do playable quarians rank below drell, a species introduced only in the last game, or even salarians, who had no representative companion in the first? It seems odd to me.

Personally, I have little interest in playing a quarian, and a lot of interest in playing a salarian (in addition to my turian, naturally). But I'd sacrifice salarians entirely (and turians, too, though there seems little chance of that) if it meant that my wife could play as her fan-favorite species. Not that I'd expect such a compromise to actually happen.

However, some posters above have expressed theories about quarians and geth being excluded from the MP due to plot-based motivations. Depending on the quality of this story, this is the only reasonable explanation I would accept, though it would still come with some disappointment.

Hopefully, though, we'll see quarians added to the list, either before launch or as DLC immediately thereafter. Unless it conflicted with the ME3 SP story dramatically, something would feel missing from MP if I couldn't fight alongside my quarian comrades.

I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that Multiplayer will have unlocks.  If thats true, you probably have to do some stuff in SP first, like free up the Geth and Quarians by getting them to agree to peace to unlock them.  Either that or kill a lot of Cerberus in coop.
