Merin Twinkleglow as a swashbuckler elf I played in a (short-lived) D&D campaign back in jr. high.  On a couple BBS's where I couldn't use my normal "on-line" (dial-up modem days of BBS's seems odd to call online anymore) handle of R.P.G. I would start defaulting to Merin.
R.P.G. are common initials, it appears, so come the WWW I started using Merin more and more.  On those odd occurrences where Merin is taken I go with Merin The Bard, or MerinTB for short (why bard, I forget now...)

No, it's nothing to do with MerLin.

And while I've used his picture as an avatar photo several times before, it's not based on MARRON Glace (the Sorcerer Hunters character, not the food)

So, yeah, BSN ended up with me being MerinTB.

That day I was into yoga and wanted to be on the beach. Found out later i was not the first Shanti Sands. Too late to change it though, so I embrace it despite not being an original. ;)  Unless they give me a way to change it of course *cough*  web request *cough*
