Well, gee, if Taco Bell thought they could sell 1,000 tortilla hamburgers, as opposed to 100 tacos, I really couldn't blame them for switching to the tortilla hamburger model. Learn to cook.

Unfortunately, the tacoburger only sold 50, and most of those were bought because people thought they were going to be normal tacos.

Oh well. Probably couldn't hurt to learn to cook anyway though. And all that fast food isn't good for your cholesterol you know. And would it kill you to get some exercise?

I burned plenty of calories with the button-awesome exercise program. You should try it.

I burned plenty of calories by laughing nonstop at Sarcastic Hawke in MotA.

Isabella may not be to everyone's taste but to say she's unattractive? Were we playing the same game?

Isabella was a bit over-endowed for my taste. Also, I hate the lip ring. And the diseases. Though I suppose if one removed those elements she'd be a pretty spicy Rivaini treat.

As for Merrill... well, she's cute, but (ironically) in a little sister way. And she looks thirteen.

Bethany, on the other hand, is David Gaider going back in a time machine and changing the hottest character in the game into an unromancable tease to spite the Dragon Age 2 haters for whining about the Leliana retcon.

I found Isabela, Merrill, Aveline, and Bethany to all be attractive. Never once did Merrill come off as a little sister to me, and she never will.

I agree. "It's certainly not the first time". Both because I didn't, so how can not be any time at all? And because the first time I've done that, has yet to happen.

I just have to claim this point, because I'm dying to find out what you'll dig out, as argument.

I'm consciously aware of three occasions, on which I've hinted that you do not treat pro-DA2 and DA2-bashers the same way. One of those was the bit at the end of our discussion, and that discussion is done. And probably throws a new light on the previous. And one other recent occasion, where you seem to have agreed with me, because the entire thread was deleted the next time I looked for it. Other than that, a somewhat ironic observation in a rather dreadful thread, that was just allowed to continue and continue, a long time back.
But none of those constitues accusations of censoring a viewpoint. Rather the opposite. Of not censoring expressions of certain viewpoints on others viewpoints.

I have no particular desire to be argumentative here. It's just that I want to be perceived for what I stand for. And not to be be painted in broad, preconceived brushstrokes. Of course, I fully understand that you cannot keep track of and completely distinguish every person. I don't expect or demand that. But I do want to be clear.

In which case I apologize. There have been literally thousands of people on these forums since DA2 came out, and it's true that I occasionally unconsciously lump them together. If that's not a point you've ever attempted to make - again, fair enough.

I'll repeat, anyone ever accusing BioWare or in particular JohnEpler or being overly biased is flat out nuts cuckoo.

They have bent over backwards to allow people to have their say, actually they have bent over so far backwards to try and be fair and balanced these forums are the epitome of 'give them an inch they will take a mile' where for the most part people expect to be allowed to just blast a product up down and sideways and get all bent out of shape if any moderation is done at all.

BioWare should have come down very hard early on, even if they were accused to censorship and things would be much better now.

Funny thing is that the standard is that the people who feel they should be able to open both barrels at a game or company are also the ones with the thinnest skin that come whimpering in after someone takes them to task for it.

Shamlessly showing off cleavage is not the same as over-endowed.  Izzy is actually quite average for VG heroines.

I think Isabella has a chest that's unrealistically big (she's sporting a pair that make Scarlett Johansson look flat), therefore I need to see more?

I don't follow your logic.

Honestly, it isn't even just the size.. that's part for the course with games, but the shape. They look like emergency floating devices.

That's a fair observation. Regardless, I just don't find Isabela attractive. It's -entirely- subjective, so it's not really a position I feel much like defending.

Well, Everwarden, we could go back and forth about whether Isabela's bust is realistically-proportioned, but suffice it to say that I've seen a lot bigger and we'll leave it at that.

I like Isabelas chest, my Hawke wants to use her as a pillow all the time. She looks comfy.

Didn't read the last bazzilion (13) pages just the Original post, but the story makes no sense, you looked in the bag, saw it was different and sent it back? Didn't bother trying it or anything. maybe the taco/burger was the most delicious thing in the world.

Granted there is things that could have used improvment in DA2, but if you can go out there and find me a game that is loved universally I'll give you a year supply of cookies. DA2 was fine. Not great, not epic. Really how many sequels are?

You're starting down the road of sensationlist hyperbole and insulting those who disagree with you, Everwarden. We can disagree with each other without belittling those with different tastes.

I'm not belittling anyone, I'm just defending my position. I really do think the button-awesome (along with all of Bioware and EA's marketing, really) is condescending, bordering on being an outright insult. No one else has to agree with me, just stating my case.

I know this was an old post, but this is a pet peeve.

I think ALL marketing is insulting. Marketing apparently thinks the rest of us are drooling idiots. :bandit:

That bit at the end of the DA2 demo (Isabela offering herself to you) was cheap and insulting. Much worse than 'button awsome' imo

If you think her chest is unrealisticly big, then you haven't seen enough chests up close in your life. She's large, but not unrealistically so.

That you don't like women with larger chests is fine. But she's in realistic (i.e. non implant) range. I've seen much larger.

The only one I found to be attractive was Bethany  but you know :/  Aveline was more of a comrade to me, I never really looked at her as a romance option. Merril... was the only romance I tried out, (couldn't finish it due to a bug  >.<  )  and I found her slightly freaky. I also couldn't believe she was still alive, she was almost unbelieveably naive. Also the OP was pretty funny.

Taco shell - Aveline, strong, hard and crusty on the outside but serves and important function to hold things together.
Hot salsa - Isabela, hot spicey and bites the tongue but very pleasurable.
Sour cream - Fenris, sour puss and brooding that would spoil milk but a nice addition in any case.
Burger with taco sauce - Carver and Bethany however who could imagine a taco with either burger or sauce removed before you can eat it?
Lettuce - Merrill, a touch of light naivete to a serious taco, some green to go with the strong mixtures.
Grated Cheese - Varric, so many potential cheesy flavors, the taco would just not be the same without the cheese.
Onions - Anders, Onions can be an integral part or not, usually a love hate thing with most connoisseurs. Often leaves a bad after taste when nearly finished.
Napkin - Sebastien, not really an important part of the meal but one can wipe their mouths when they are done.

As you can see DA2 is exactly like a taco.

You mean, DA2's companions are exactly like a taco.  Because that's all your post discusses

DA2, the game, is quite a bit more than just a companion profile, isn't it.  So lets  complete the line of thought you just started.

We've got the Taco in all its parts....  Now, lets take that taco and cut its corners off so it becomes round  (no more skills, no more origins, no more companion gear customization, no more iso-view camera, no more dual-wielding for warriors, etc).  Then, lets  take out the Taco seasoning  (no more cross-country exploration, no more item descriptions, no more engaging in dialogue with your companions any time you want, no more finishing moves)

Now we've got something to work with!    Lets start adding now.    Bring in a giant Burger patty  (turbo-speed action game combat,  MMO style boss fights)  And lets not forget a slice of cheese... no, make that 2 slices of cheese  ( Over the top combat animations... backflips and hopping around.... and....   Waves of enemies that fall from the sky, oh how cool)

And finally, we need some buns.    Isabela will do.  lets just make sure  she only wears half a combat outfit. Gotta see some thong.

Voila....    It's the new Taco-burger.

MMO boss fights? Would those be like the Archedemon, Sloth Demon, High Dragons, Anvil of the Void fight or the Broodmother? Do you want to explain the difference.

While you are at it that Cross-Country exploration. Both games I cannot wander out into the country and find anything. I first have to be given that location to go do the quest/quests related to said area by a NPC or tack board. I cant even go cross-country in DA:O I have to open a map screen and then select my location. About the only difference I see are the number of random ecounters.
