Im trying to to get all the 20 cargo crates, and if I could use cryo to froze them would make it more easy

I just did a video, Jacob LM where I froze the mech at the end. The problem is that you have to remove the shields and armor for the cryo to kick in.
CaolIla has this video where he did it ( saving 20 crates ) as easy as I've seen
Using Cain x2

The solution is actually completely different: MISSILE LAUNCHER. Wait at the Kodiak and fire a missile blindly over the rock hill. The missile will find itself a target, activate one mech, and then you just wait for the mech to walk to the Kodiak and kill it there. Repeat 2 more times, 20 crates saved.
Apart from that, wiki doesn't mention any immunity to freezing.
Still, the mechs have two layers of defense to chew through first, so it'll be a while before cryo effects become useful. I'd recommend instead disruptor ammo, a magazine's worth of submachine fire to take down the shields, pistol/sniper/incinerate to take down the armor, and then combine AI hacking's "confusion" and favourite weapon to finish off the mech.

@Jure Simich Yes, I did not find a video, but a guy that did that ( missile launcher ) posted this in a thread a while back:
The rocket launcher strategy is given by Zaisha_temp:
"You can cheese this assignment, actually.
Bring the missile launcher, don't move forward from your starting position. (order your teammates to stay in place and don't use drones) fire the rocket launcher high up into the sky in the general direction of the fighting area. Despite the fact that you cannot target or even see the YMIRs the missile will automatically track and hit one of them and cause it to attack you at your starting location. Kill it using any method you like. Repeat procedure twice.
You will kill all three YMIRs without ever triggering the "kill crates" script. 20/20 every single time, guaranteed. (unless you get killed by fighting one mech at a time)
Pure cheese and exploitiness, but hey, if it works..."

my solution as posted by Ryo is not something anyone can pull off, because you need either Arrival or Zaeed and have the Ordnance Pack equipped (And that's just a guess, I never bought the Ordnance pack! I always do it with 7 HW ammo upgrades!) to get enough ammunition for the Cain.
And someone pulled it of with a single Cain shot, supposedly on Lvl 10 as far as I remember (that's important because of lvl scaling) www.youtube.com/watch
CajNatalie did it with a single Cain shot and some fighting: www.youtube.com/watch

On my last play through one shot of the Cain took out all the YRIM mechs on Hardcore.
