Witch Hunt and Claudia Black.
Mark of the Assasin and Felicia Day.
The closest ME has ever gotten to anything like this is Lair of the Shadow Broker and Liara.
I dont think you need to worry here. Actually I think you are jumping the gun a little (or a lot actually).

So no idea if the Assassine DLC was any good or not ... as I haven't bought any of the DA2 post-release DLC.

You say that like Bioware has released loads of DLC based around a celebrity and their character; when there has been 2. Both in the Dragon Age universe.

I wouldn't even include Witch Hunt to be honest, what with Morrigan being such a large part of the original game.
Whilst I didn't really enjoy the Tallis character all that much, she is a part of the Dragon Age Universe as a whole, akin to a character from the Mass Effect books appearing in DLC (which I believe some have asked for already), the only difference being that in her iteration she actually has an existing actor portraying the character.
Said actor being a vocal proponent of the game as well would also ensure that as much marketting appeal is present as possible, both that for the game and for fans of the actress herself.

You would cancel a pre-order for a DLC with some celebrity on it? What?
Martin Sheen being in ME2 totally put me off.

When its someone recognisable I kind of keep seeing someone else in that role, meh.
Its not an isuse though. Just one of those things.

For a group of people who seem to look down on other gamers, you folks are incredibly thin-skinned and a change in the direction of the wind seems to draw your ire.

I must say this this entire community has become inundated with over emotional, stodgy, ne'er-do-wells. Now we complain about celebrities? What is wrong with the celebrity voice overs? Mind you Felcia got propped up on a pedestal for dragon age, but in my experience with bioware they take on these voice actors for a reason. Tell me the illusive man would have been as masterfully executed if Martin Sheen wasn't behind it.

Oh look, another "Give in to my demands or I cancel my pre-order" thread.
All I can think of is a Villian stroking a cat and saying: "You are in no position to make demands, Mr. Bond"

Oh no, my wife left me for another guy. Guess I'm too depressed to play anything. Better cancel that pre-order.
My fridge is empty and I have nothing to eat. Gonna cancel my pre-order.

Without sustenance - its probably a good idea. You can't game without at the very least some crackers and cheese.

Perhaps not the right Bond Villain, but it was begging for a picture.
For the record, I'm actually a little annoyed at the idea of centering plots around "celebrities" too. Well actually, the celebrities don't bother me as much as any marketing that's been centered around them. In either case, I wouldn't be irritated to the point where I'd cancel a pre-order. Besides, it's hard to cancel a pre-order of a game that you haven't pre-ordered yet.

If NPH were in any DLC for ME3, I'd get it regardless of the quality. NPH is my hero.Maeshone wrote...

God I love Mass Effect and the Mass Effect universe but if I hear the words Felicia Day and Mass Effect before release that will be enough to make me cancel my preorder.

You're not, trust me.
I don't give two craps about Felicia Day or any stupid web-series. I'm on this site about the GAMES and game-based DLC. I want to see dungeon crawlers, new options/weapons/styles added to my character or companions. If a celebrity plays a character fine but it doesn't make a difference nor should it.
\\Doesn't make me cancel my pre-order or not want to buy the game though.

Best I could do with our own resident super-villian. My photshop-fu is weak.

Afterall, they have Martin Sheen, Tricia Helfer, Seth Green, Keith David, Adam Baldwin, Claudia Black... many of them 10 times the celebrity Felicia Day is.
Odd that you bought a game with so many well known celebrities in it when you clearly have a strong aversion to them.
