By that i mean should he be brodcasting his/her voice for Earth's resistance, Give epic speeches to to the armies who will retake Earth. TIM did say Shepard was brought back for because of his/ her being a symbol everyone could unite behind? I am not saying we should spend less time shooting wave after wave of enemies in the face but i would like to see Shepard being used as a unifying force in the story.
what do you think?

I'd be sad, if in Humanity's Darkest hour, just when all seems lost, if Earth didn't hear Shepard's voice broadcasting some kickass speech as the Normandy pulls into view with the entire fleet he rallied at his back.

I want more than charge, please! Something epic and moving. A speech that inspires people to go to their deaths but knowing they are doing it for the galaxy!
I want tears and gallantry! I want my Independence Day moment! XD

We fight or we die, that's the plan.
We eat or we starve, that's the plan.
Oh Shepard you come out with the best lines ever.

Of course, s/he has to do another famous Shepard!speech! After all, s/he did one in ME (before leaving the Citadel for the first time) and another one in front of his squadmates while doing the SM in ME2.
So obviously we need a Shepard!speech in ME3!

As Shepard goes into the final battle besides Wrex with his Korgan Fleet
Shepard: Wrex
Wrex: Shepard
And they both go off into battle.

At this point - Shepard has reached mythical proportions (by Bioware's design). I'd actually like to see Anderson creating resistance mantras like: "Shepard is coming." and "Look for the Normandy" (slightly ironic since it's a stealth ship)
I could see non-combatants huddled in bombed out buildings - surrounding a fire burning in a metal drum - mothers telling children the tale of Shepard. How he came back from the dead to save them, etc.
If Bioware were particularly daring - I'd even have a cut-screen or five with either 1) The Big Ben Sniper or 2) Your Co-Op character ... where Shepard is in correspondence. And your "down to earth" hero tells the people of Shepard's exploits - inspiring soldiers and civilian alike. ((Of course, you still direct this character's speech - since it's as relayed to him by Shepard))
On other planets - there should be cut screens with allies you made along the way.
On Thessia: Samara fights in the name of the Normandy and Shepard.
On Noveria: Shiala or a colonist holds the line in the name of Shepard.
The Shadow Broker: Liara transmits hope throughout the galaxy about Shepard and the Normandy.
Etc. etc.
Just, no montage hopefully. Montages make moments that could be emotionally engaging and cheapen them.
