So i take it i should wait for a Steam sale then? I already have Heroes V complete and Kings Bounty on my HD.
There are too many bugs that prevents playing happily.
I recommend you to wait nearest patch/sale.
Its strange that game's relase date has been canceled so many times from March.
I m really curious about the bugs at that time.

Ah thanks for the info...I will wait for the patch then as game breaking bugs drive me crazy.

-Lost every artifact that was given after that maps end quest,if i already have something on that slot. Trying to go last battles without certain artifacts.
- Griffons dive ability oftenly misses causes to no damage. And yes they directly to the point i have chosen.
-Lost 2 Dynasty weapons, one of them was a lvl 5 and had an "sometimes nondispeliiling" life drain ability. Lost them when using a mage hero at campaign.
-Lost some saves(manual and auto both) due too perfect Ubi Soft servers...
-Lost 200 ish Cerberi(two headed ...) when i was put them away with tactics. The battle map has many obstacle and just tried to save them for another battle.
-Game sometimes cannot reload my hero(or something on the map like castles/mines) for 2-3 mins. My rig can operate Witcher 2 and BF 3 beta on ultra settings.
-They forget to add decent town screens... Never gonna give up upon this...
Game has some really nice moments and got a really good story line.
But you have to play campaign missions chronologically to understand whats going on and whos who...
And most of the units lack charisma which they had plenty in previous games.

I also hear, if you play on a laptop you have to modify one of the INI files to get it to run and that it makes the cursor blink.
What the deuce?
Welcome to the future era of gaming!
Games will be released half done and we must do the remaining coding

I can say it is now playable. For the safety of your saves, make a copy of your my-document Heroes folder before installing the patches.
Still, there is no change in City-Screen.

I heard that the ingenious inititive system from HoMMV was removed in favour of HoMM3's one action per turn system. Is it true? I really loved the combat system of HoMMV....

There is still an annoying bug with "week of. plaque" it changes the growth and hiring numers to negative values...forever. And this was pointed to Ubi in effing beta, still nothing done. If you cannot fix it just delete the sob
Yeah love that bug, its so nice to start a map from the beginning which you have played for 2 hours...
Edit:
@Haplose Yes you are right, the combat system is now returned to its roots. I did love 5th games combat system too but it was very inbalanced.
But it had more depth...

Apart from objects flickering all the time and getting garbage visuals, one thing that struck me is the lack of balance between creature hit points and damage dealt. Even lowest tier units have high hit point pools, but do pitifull damage. This leads to needlessly extended, slow, boring combats consisting of an exchange of blows and further reduces the tactical importance of ranged and high manuverability units, since the first strike seems to mean so little.
Well, to be honest, I've only seen a few Haven units so far, but that's my feeling from this short session with the game.
I've had a few bugs as well.
Perhaps most importantly I cannot forgive them for removing the tactical depth of V's initiative system... and the racial hero profiling.

You're right. I hope they fix Units & Heroes measurements, HP, dealing damage, the bugs and boring city screen with the next patch 1.2 (or the expansions). especially I find that snake samurai unit in sanctuary faction, too weak and inefficient.Haplose wrote...
Well, I downloaded the demo and am sadly very underwhelmed.

Some units aren't designed charismatic or at least good. I mean the Haven's Cavalier is so meh, like most of Demonic units.
In General Stronghold, Sanctuary, Haven and then Necropolis Factions are properly designed (in order).

I definitely got the same feeling I got back when playing Heroes of Might and Magic III. There are some things that irked me, like the Legendary Weapon thing only available Online and the fact that the "town screen", if you can call it that, has been simplified way too much. I loved clicking on the different dwellings and being able to see what the monsters look like and their battle animations before purchasing them.
I also found out Easy seems actually easy and i don't think that's a bad thing, I had a hard time in Heroes III in later levels of the campaign and the story being more than walls of text and there actually being voices, voices that I recognize no less, helps out a lot.

amount of bugs are dissapointing, faction balance is near non-existant.
and a lot of strategic decisions from previous have been cut/streamlined.
I just got bored at many campaign levels.
Going to install V and tribes of the east and search for some decent hot-seats.

Warlords Of Norway TEAMS TOTE v1.3
Search and find them on the heroes maps website and enjoy.
About Heroes VI, I've only finished Tutorial and Sanctuary's Two levels. Level 3 seems nice as we have stronghold reinforcements in our army after a while.

Yeah? I spent 90 hours in the profile where I got the majority of achievements, about a total of 40 hours in the other characters I started. So, it's shorter than 130 hours, huh? That blows...
