I've extracted and tweaked the default .tnt files for armour and weapons to make the colouring effect more subdued.

These modified files work fine when placed in packages/core/override/data sub-folder. But when they're instead bundled together into a project using the "Builder to Player" command from the toolset the game seems to simply ignore them when the package is installed, and keeps the default appearance.

Just wondering if someone managed to get that to work, and/or what's the cause for this.

I don't know the answer to your question, but what did you use/how did you change the .tnt files?

I've used xvi32, a freeware hex editor. You can first import the .tnt file into the material editor in the DA toolset to see what colours and opacity it has assigned, and then use tools in xvi32 to locate bytes which hold these values and overwrite them with ones you prefer.
