To be fair, that kind of stuff is more decoration, ancient armours were still quite thick. But this Liara statue is just ... gawd.

Honestly, at this point I view comic artwork as apocryphal and non-canon. I mean, these are the same guys who showed Garrus flying through the air and a dead krogan on Eden Prime, in the Genesis comic. They also showed Liara in her scientist get-up on Noveria. Funny, I seem to remember her wearing an armored hardsuit....

Well, I think Omar Francia was a poor choice for the art. His style just doesn´t work with the game art style at all. ME looks closer to a movie than a cartoon, so the comic art should be more realistic, IMHO.

I wouldn't mind one of those on my desk either. Much improved. However if there really are "regular" style figurines being worked on, I will wait for those.

This Liara statue is to me like the Porsche Cayenne SUV.

It's a great car, fun to drive (no pun intended), good-looking (for as far as SUV's can look 'good') and quality one can expect from a brand like Porsche. But it should never have been conceived. It is blasphemy and a dark, bloody stain on the face of Porsche that will always remain. It is not a Porsche.

Just like this statue is great-looking, beautifully detailed, but just. Not. Liara.

It is a travesty I would be able to appreciate if it wasn't rape of character; just like the Cayenne is rape of all the beauty that is Porsche.

That said: would love to have one regardless. (And yes, I drive a Cayenne >.>)

Well--and it's been said quite a bit so far--I'd have to say that I'm glad that the model's had a lot of breast reduction. Still a bit...iffy on the face.
