I want the name of the bean counter at EA who thought that this thing would sell better than a more western style statue, like something Sideshow would produce.
Actual statues in a 1/6th scale are coming in a Western style from Kotobukiya as well.

Nice to know you agree that it should totally be Liara's in-game model. The movement gains momentum.javierabegazo wrote...
Lol, it's technically on topic. Just keep things ....respectful. I'm off to bed. (and then to NYCC tomorrow morning!!)

You know how these social movements happen. Ideas become actions and actions shape reality. I'm merely planting seeds.EternalAmbiguity wrote...

Still looks creepy as all hell. I think it's more the pose than anything that's so off-putting. Thanks, but PASS.

This figure actually was the idea of Shunya Yama****a who drew the character on a whim as he was a fan of the character and the game. Kotobukiya then showed that to EA and Bioware and they liked it so they went for it; it wasn't started by EA at all.

I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed she achieved a more reasonable bust size in this version of the model.
Though she's still going to have some serious back pain issues in the future.

With that in mind, there are a lot worse pieces of Liara fan art than this to be made into statuesSirNarwhal wrote...

Nice. I guess we should be honored, then, that they chose Liara as the sole representation of the hypersexualized caricature style.SirNarwhal wrote...

It's a SIGNIFICANT difference, thank goodness. It still seems like she's trying way too hard to be sexy - like she's pushing up her breasts. But...at least they're not as big as before.

I'm sad you changed your pic...
I honestly have to wonder what people will proudly display something like that.
