By the way, I'm curious as to who here believes any of the "Ghost is alive" theories that populate the internet.

considering he was burnt alive along with Roach I'd say no.

Well, the arguments people have are simple-

A. Supposedly he says, "Why do we have to wear these fireproof vests" or something like that at some point in the game(I haven't found it, obviously)
B. The Sniper Team was alive, could view what went down, and could've saved him(Archer and Toad).
C. A silhouette resembling Ghost was seen in a trailer.
D. "Ghost", enough said.

Me personally, I'd LIKE for him to be alive, and you never know, but odds are he's dead and he's staying that way.

I guess. Personally I like Soap more though. Ghost was like Gaz 2.0, but cooler.

I like em all. Sad that Roach died, super glad Ramirez made it out, wish I could replay him or someone under Sgt. Foley in MW3.

I felt like it was in there for the headlines and marketing.

Me too. They wanted the controversy. It sure doesn't look like it hurt their sales either.

Personally though, I know they difference between real life and a video game. I must have killed millions in video games so far. With chainsaws, bombs, guns, swords, axes, magic, lawnmowers, cars, you name it. Didn't feel a thing.

If someone gets even a minor injury in real life, I already feel pretty bad. Funny how that works.

"No Russian" didn't shock me at all.

It does make me wonder how many of the playable characters they are going to kill in MW3. They seem to like doing that.

I just hope Ramirez doesn't end up dying somehow thanks to a crazy order from Sgt. Foley.

"Ramirez! Take this banana peel and destroy those AC-130's!"

I just hope you play as him again! We know Mactavish is back, but I hope they don't forget Ramirez.

Wut's all this Moedurn Warfair non-sens? Funny story. My brother asked my mum if she can pre-order this for him. She said

I lolled. I'm no big player of the series, but I enjoy the occasional game or two. More of an old school shooter fan really, GoldenEye 007, Perfect Dark, Timesplitters etc.

I actually enjoyed the campaign for the story , music score (Zimmer anyone?) and the whole cinematic experience. No Russians was actually tough for me and I just could not shoot LOL . of course it's just pixel on the screen but that seem just plain wrong .What's next? Interactive rape? Genocide? Too much dehumanization can't be a good thing.

I was just mesmerized because there's people that have done and do that kind of atrocities. Like that 2 years old chinese girl that get run over and ignored by passenger . I just could not watch it and was enraged at the situation . It's almost felt like propaganda though after reading the hate comment about Chinese people. But anyway I digress and I am out of topic. Can't wait for MW3 , BF3 and tommorow for Arkham City!!!! I hope the campaign will be a bit longer though.

You're right. There are certainly things I wouldn't want to see even in a game. But I think the act of shooting someone has been portrayed so much on film and in games that we can just completely tune it out. Of course it isn't realistic either when you shoot people in games. A bullet doesn't make you fly halfway across the room.

The kind of violence I "enjoy" in games is a kind of ridiculous cartoonish violence. It doesn't make me sick because it's obviously not real. And I don't actually think the violence in Call of Duty is realistic either. People drop dead immediately if you swing a knife somewhere near them. You can die in a heartbeat from being shot in the foot. I wonder how you can take it seriously.

We have a world full of sick people killing and torturing. Call of Duty and its unrealistic Hollywood violence isn't causing it. Games are just being used as a scapegoat because a lot of people aren't willing to admit we all share some of the responsibility for creating killers. Well-adjusted people don't go on killing sprees, even if they play violent video games.

The sad part about CoD's little publicity stunt is the fact that they are just giving the "games are evil" crowd more ammunition.

But yeah. I'm looking forward to MW3, Arkham City, Skyrim, Saints Row 3, and.... I guess other games as well. I'm going to need more than 24 hours a day :)

I doubt we'll play Ramirez again, but I certainly had the most fun in MW2 playing as him.

The Rangers missions were the most fun in my opinion. MW2's campaign was just great.

RANGERS LEAD THE WAY! Love that.

One thing I hope to never have to see again- The goddamn levels in the Brazilian Favelas. Christ those were difficult on harder difficulties.

I swear, when I was going for the Veteran achievements, I HAAAATED the favelas.

Goddang. 20 enemies in front, 5 to your left and right, 3 behind you, narrow passages, a thousand corners, a couple of dogs(which were surprisingly no trouble), and no one to help you.

Grrrrrrr.

Oh I bet it'll be awesome, hence me fully paying off my preorder for it, but seeing as this is a MW3 thread, BF3 can go a thattaway.

Hell no. CoD is the best selling franchise in gaming, they'd be stupid to end it.

I honestly am just looking forward to sniping. And i DONT want it to be as easy as it was to snipe in MW2. I know in Black Ops they made it really really hard and attempted to remove the ability to Quickscope. But i think thats why i love sniping so much.. not alot of people really do it so when i do pull off a nice longshot or a pretty slick quickscope it just makes me feel special, ya know?

Oh, and bolt-actions only please :P So i hope MW3 has at least one in there for me. I loved using the Intervention and L96AI in the recent CoD's..

And with my sniping class in black ops anyway I used Ghost, Steady Aim, and Marathon. Ghost is of course so i could go about my business and have my location not known by the enemy. Which is the goal of any sniper. the Steady Aim thing is simple... i am a very aggressive player, I cannot sit and camp and do all the stuff, so i tend to rush in just about any game, depending on the map or what game type i'm in (usually TDM) but i found that using Steady aim quickscoping and no-scoping (also know as "lucky as hell" shot) became alot easier and bailed me out quiet a few times. And then my last perk, Marathon... i liked being able to run forever. Since i play so aggressive I wanted to be elusive as well if the need arises. However on my othe classes I used Hacker which is really nice.... and now since Marathon is being taken out of MW3 i will need to rebuild my sniper class.

I honest to God hate quickscopes and no scopers.

I hate dying by them, and I REAALLY hate stupid team mates who make us lose Search games because they are tryhards.

If it was up to me, I'd eradicate quick scoping and no scoping entirely.

I hated them too until I tried it one day in a private match and I fell in love. No matter what they do with CoD there will always be SOMETHING that people will hate. Noob tubers of course was a big problem in MW2.

one of my personal dislikes in Black Ops is people who run around and spam the Spas-12 everywhere. No skill.

And also, I'm curious.... do people who hardscope bother you too then? Because people always complain about one or the other. 'One takes no skill.. and the other is so easy my left toenail can do it'.. or so people claim. I just never really understood why Snipers get hated on so much.

The Spas sucked hard in that game. Then again, that whole game just sucked hard.

As for noob tubes, if it were up to me I'd make direct impact kills with noob tubes impossible, I'd make it so that you couldn't kill someone with it unless they were in medium range only(to stop close range spamming and pro-piping across the map). Also limit the user to two only.

Good thing is in MW3 they are only letting you have two per life. No pick ups with Scavenger, and with the lack of One Man Army, spamming them incessantly is impossible.

I enjoyed the Spas in Modern Warfare 2... sometimes i would use it more than my primary. Which i can see why they made it primary. only. But i know what ya mean then in Black Ops. they made that sh!t suck real big.. on top of only being a primary weapon.

One Man Army was the stupidest idea ever for that game. they had to have known what people would have used it for... i didn't understand.

Is there any Juggernat/Painkiller stuff planned for MW3 do you know?? Those kinda annoyed me too in previous games..
