The French are a handsome, proud and refined people who sometimes look down on others. Basically Elves.

I don't think he is a troll and doesn't deserve to be brushed off like that, however I think he needs to think before he speaks.

Take a look at his posting history... he's a bonified troll!

As a British man growing up in London ive been raised on British humour from a young age but i also find American humour to be just as entertaining but in diffrent ways, British humour is very stale to the point humour and American humour is very in your face loud humour either one can cause a laugh depending on the mood your in, i dont recall seeing much classic British humour in Fable 2, maybe a few snippiets but it was more of an attempt for a gaming company to try and clone British humour which didnt go over well. Besides we should all get back to the real problem, French humour...urgh Posted Image

I have nothing against the United States of Great Britin, but I lost a lot of desire and that "awe factor" in playing Fable 2 because the british humor wasn't funny at all.  I can deal with that english accent, but please, no british humor.  It pains me to see something that really isn't funny at hall.

Just because they had that accent doesn't mean it was our humour.

and just the United Kingdom please.

I don't think it's British humor, but I did hate that humor. Metal Gear Solid 4 had some of it too, the fart jokes detract terribly from that game. It's never been a problem with a BioWare game.

Fable's emotive storytelling style has kept from playing either 1 or 2 past the midway point, I'm not even interested anymore.

Canadian "humour" = Kids in the Hall, Dan Akroyd, Tom Green, Will Arnett, Norm MacDonald, Samantha Bee and Tommy Chong. Runs the gamut, it appears.

You forgot to mention Jim Carrey. Posted Image

A test would be to watch the British version of The Office, then watch the American version and see which you found funnier.

lol as flames go this one is quite funny.
not sure what you mean by British humor (benny hill stuff?) I didn't think the humor in fable 2 was especially British in style as for accents fable 2 is a British made game so its not suprising they yse british voice actors.
it doesn't seem anymore misplaced than having American accents in games that are set in far away times.

Arhough since games such as fable oblivion and Dragons age are set in fictional universes its hard to imagine what accents would be most fitting.

what exactly is "British humor

fart jokes ect are hardly confined to the Brits if thats what your talking about.

It's all about Joss Whedon, Penny Arcade and that direction in this game... I can get used to it, but it's not my favorite humor. Always reminds me of random internet-humor. There's no distinction between fandom and what they're fan of. Perhaps that's a compliment. It's all Terry Pratchett-wannabe to me. When it's actually good it's like Terry Pratchett and not Penny Arcade, Whedon, squee-fanboy/girl anymore. Imho.

I don't think people need to keeep coming into threads saying how the "Mods should ban the IP!" of some one. If they do, they do. I don't think they need you saying what should happen.

Beyond that note, I like British Humor, and Fable 2 sucked.

The British one is far better other great British comedy shows are One Foot in the Grave . My family , Fawlty Towers , and Father Ted if that can be defined as British Comedy. Monty Python ranges between be very funny and just plain weird and stupid.

Generally British comedy shows are better than US ones which either tend to be soaps wioth jokes like Friends or Frazier or kind of childish.

As for wether fart jokes and sexual reference jokes stand as Britisn humor I guess if thats the case then South Park and Eddie Murphy count as "British" humor?

British tv comedy has changed a lot since the days of Benny Hill  or are you being served ect
it tends to be a lot more sosphicated  nowadays

Come to think of it, on a different note, I don't even know what people generally think a Canadian sense of humour is. Huh.

If I had to guess, most people would say French, but that's likely only because Canadians are mostly French in ancestry. I have no idea as tot heir true humor-style.
Any Candians around that can tell us?

Where do you get your information from? Canadians are not French nor do most of us have French ancestry. Quebec is a province that speaks  a version of the French language and the majority of those from Quebec don't even have French ancestry. A lot come from Irish and UK backgrounds. Canada doesn't have one type of people. We come from all countries and backgrounds and embrace our multi cultural heritges.

Posted ImagePosted Image

Hello I was born in a town called Rimouski in Quebec and now live in western Canada in British Columbia, I've also lived in Vancouver and Alberta for some time so I think I have a very good understand of "CANADA". Let me cast dispel on some of these myths...

Quebec is largely francophone actually, there are small anglophone centers in the center of Montreal city and some areas around, there are also islands of anglophone communities on the far east side. Acadians are a mix of french and anglos (irish, scotish) and have a very different way of speaking then anyone else. Even 'french' people have a hard time understanding them..

'Quebecois' is what we francos from Quebec speak, it's not a different type of french it's french with a Canadian accent. What your thinking of is Quebec slang and slang isn't exactly part of the normal language, just like english slang..... If you went to Quebec and spoke french or listen to their radio or tv you'd find most people are very well spoken. In fact Quebec people have such a solid grasp of the french language they've told France to have some pride and stop anglicizing every other word in their country..

Going to Quebec is very much like going to another country, every sign is french everyone speaks french unless asked otherwise and if you go inland enough you'll find a lot of people find english people strange or some kind of cool phenomenon. :P So yeah in fact most people in Quebec can trace their ancestry to France with as you said exceptions.

There are also many french families and entire communities in the rest of  "english" Canada, there's a town in my region in Alberta called Fahler, and it's pronounced Fal-Air here because it's mostly all french families who live there. I even met two older ladies who didn't speak a whole lot of english from Fahler.... And this is Alberta.

Every other province in Canada is very much english and most people have UK ancestry, however there are so many different cultures who now reside here we are as Porcelyn said very much multicultural and proud of it.

:D

edit: About Canadian humor, as someone already posted many stars in the US are Canadian born...... We're very good at making fun of ourselves and love comedy that is actually funny and not just insulting or provoking...... EHhhh....

:P

Get back under the table, the end of the world has arrived!

British Humour is the best humour in the world.

Fable 2 was a good game and your here complaining about british humour in a game made by Canadians................oh the irony.

Well there is no irony, just a slowly rising urge to push "The Button."

OP = Dolt.
