Is there a way to put a countdown counter on the player's display? I'd like to have a section of a module that is time limited, but I don't want to use floating strings or to fill up the console window with time messages.

Hmm, now that I think about it, there was that part of the OC where there were the exploding globes. I think those had a countdown timer, so I'll check there. But I suspect that was a floating string too, which may not do the job.

There was a recent addition on the vault of a spell timer, ask that author for help or rework what he did to suite what you need.

You can look at delay command, or a heart beat, just decrement a value, but the issue you want feedback not in floating strings or other messages, so slowly building up vfx seems like it might be an option. Actually making it work is easy other than that.
