I just got to the point where the battle against Meredeth has begun and to my surprise, Carver betrays her and stands with my FemHawke. Is there an alternate sitaution where he will actually fight against Hawke to the point she is forced to kill her own brother?
Thanks folks!

He's very protective of Hawke. Even if he acts abrasive.

Ah, ok. I was wondering because throughout the game, he's always such a jerk to my Hawke that I figured once he became a Templar, I'd end up having to fight him.
Thanks again!

That's suppose to simulate sibling rivalry. Not really the best, considering siblings don't exactly fight every time they talk.

Carver's not supposed to be cruel he's just supposed to be an ass. It would take someone pretty heartless to kill your own sibling.

Actually he even covers up Hawke if he joins the templars. In the show down of act two Meredith will say that the name Hawke comes up often in her reports if Carver is no templar, but if Carver became one she remarks how surprisingly little she heard about Hawke.lastpatriot wrote...

Not that I know of. Why people want these things, I don't want to understand.
Because it's more mature and authentic, you know;)

They don't fight every time they talk. :/ I've had perfectly civil conversations with my full-rival Carver.
You'll have to refresh my memory when this happened. It's been a while since I played.
