Hello, I have read through some threads looking for a similiar issue and I don't think I have found any similiar issues so I fiugred I would post my issue hoping I can get a resolution.

System specs:
Win 7 64bit Pro
AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.20ghz
4gigs of ram
Radeon HD 6770 GFX Card

Media:
Direct to Drive Download
Ultimate Edition
Issue:
Everytime I enter into the Redcliff Village and I complete the talk with Alistair the screen goes black and in the lower right hand corner it states it is loading and never loads the next module. I can move my mouse and the pointer on the screen moves and I can still here the background music but no new content ever loads and the only way I can exit out is through task manager. Any help and advice would greatly be appreciated. Thank you in advance

What have you learned from the archives?

Well being new to this type of game and to this forum there is a lot of information to decipher and not knowing the distinction between DLC and mods I guess I haven't learned very much but thanks for your insightful help. I will manage to correct the issue.

It never happened to me. But it happened enough times to other folks that I saw the thread subject lines fairly often when DAO as new, so I suppose others with the problem may have solved it. This is still part of the slow time in game forums, which are primarily a winter and springtime phenomenon, so there aren't many experienced gamers on hand to answer the questions, leaving the Stickies and the archives as the current best resources.

There's an issue where some of the transitions may take a long (long, long) time. The loading indicator will appear to freeze, and it will appear that nothing is happening, but if you just let it sit for five minutes or so, it will eventually figure it out and finish loading the area.

So if it happens again, I'd suggest letting it run. Get some lunch or a snack or something, and it may have actually done its job by the time you come back.
