About 2 maybe 3 weeks ago I ordered the game(Ultimate Edition) and I just got it today, and I installed it, and I mean everything. I registered my game on the bioware, but it won't let me use my promo code even though the DLC's are already on the game files. But the thing is, is that Every Single One of my DLC's are unauthorized except for Awakenings. I'm real frustrated because I have waited a long, long time to play this(DLC's Included), Can I get any help for this, Is there any patches for the DLC's or what?

I am having the same problem. I first got it on EA's Origin and had this problem. After trying a bunch of suggestions from the shoddy live chat help and reinstalling it 5 times, I got it threw steam. Now I have that problem. The online account states I have everything, and so does the game. Though the game will not let me play it because it think I am not authorized to own it.

This is a known issue and patch 1.05 will fix it. If you aren't using steam (not sure about Origin) you can download the beta patch and it should fix the problem but you might experience longer loading times instead. Read the sticky thread about patch 1.05 for more information about the issue and the patch.

Look at the stickies, especially "read first".  Some of them even clearly state that they deal with DLC issues.

When you buy the dlc, you are given the promo code to redeem for the content.  It depends on how you buy it, how you get the code.  E.g. some download providers email it to you (be sure to check spam folders if your security is set high).

Seeing as how you did not provide us with much information, how can you expect comprensive help?  Also, if you have a problem even after to trying what's in the stickies, start a seperate thread.  It's usually considered bad form to 'necro' old threads.

Oh, and personally, I find it irksome when someone just spews text and can't be bothered to format or even punctuate.  *expletive deleted* laziness.  Make a little effort, and maybe others will make more effort to help.

once the contents appear in your online account, you can play them in the game. But apparently, it's best to start the update service manually after you launch the game.
For Win7, alt+tab out of the game, press "Window"+R (shortcut for the "RUN" command, little key on the bottom left of the keyboard with a "windows" symbol on it), type "services.msc" to launch the services.
Scroll down the list to the "D's" and look for Dragon Age. Select it and you'll be given the option to "start" it.
once it's started, alt tab to the game and Voilà. No patch, no hassle, all good. Just takes an extra step before playing but you get none of the bugs and problems reported by ppl with patch 1.05.
(I actually uninstalled the game, reinstalled it, didnt solve the problem, then found this easy sol'n on the french forums. Since it's helped me so much, I thought I'd share this with the english forum) ;-)

Enjoy :)

You have to link your game to your account here that has those items on it. So basically enter your EA/Bioware account email and pass to link the account and it should then authorize the dl and install. If not, you may have other issues related to dlc, but give us more details when you do, on your game, system, and internet.

Also you should register your game here if you want most people to help you, because it proves you didn't pirate the game and thus have a legal copy that only has the base issues instead of adding issues related to the hacking of it. Most people don't want to waste time on people who pirate the games and then ask for help to get them working right.

I got so far as to scroll for the "D"s but i couldnt find Dragon Age in the menu.

I bought the dragon age ultimate version from steam and also bought every dlc aviable, none of the are authurized by the game even though theyre registered on my bioware account =/
Is bioware even trying to come up with a solution for this?

If it is NOT the Ultimate edition then all the official updates are linked at the to of the page under the games tab, then DA:O and finally patches.

If it is the Ultimate edition then only the beta patch can be used at this time, because it comes patched up to 1.04 already. The beta patch is in a sticky at top of forum.
