I think both Geth & quarians were left out because there is a real possibility that one or the other gets wiped out in the SP game(before getting harvested by reapers)

IE. If you side with the Geth and wipe out the quarian race it wouldn't really make any sense to have a quarian commando fighting for your cause and by doing so help the Geth..

i'm sure they're going to have them in. i think that if their race was ever able to be on your squad at any point, you'll be able to play as them. this includes humans, asari, turians, salarians, krogan, drell, and even geth/quarians. maybe we'll be able to play as batarians and vorcha, but they've always been against us, and the batarians were attacked right at the beginning of ME3 (the reapers have to pass through batarian space from aratoht in order to get to the humans).

That would make sense except they didn't include Batarians, and they are built exactly the same as humans. When helmets are on you can't even tell the difference

Well, Drells aren't in the middle of a heated war. That and the Quarians don't exactly have the resources or the immune system to waste on another battle outside of the geth (Although the geth war is borderline retarded.. but that's a different story)

I still think the Quarians may be added later, but for me, it makes sense that the Drell were picked over them.

The six races they chose all have the ability to play all 6 classes. Quarian biotics are so rare, they are practically non existant. I'm not saying that's really a reason to make them unplayable, but even Krogan biotics are more common than Quarian ones. I think they opted for a race selection that would allow all of them to be any class, rather than have a more expansive one with restrictions.

On the other hand Krogan engineers are close to non-existent..so it goes both way.

all this speculation when we KNOW it's going to be dlc. they have the combat models and they are designed around the same combat mechanics as shepard. All this talk of them not being in MP is nonsense.

Wouldn't quarians or geth be soldier/engineer/infiltrator then if not a biotic class? Asari would have to be one of the 3 biotic capable classes if Bioware wants to remain consistent. They could have certain races only be available to certain classes with each race's class differing from another. Or at least I think that would be cool.

Duh, they can't introduce new races in mp as DLC if they're already within the game from the start!

Quarians not included are probably related to their weaknesses as ground troops and the lack of real customization. Didn't bit about them having very few biotics due to a lack of eezo exposure, but that also seems like a logical reason.
