Done hundreds of times in Hollywood, but this the ploy always works:

Then you knew this one was coming, but once again the ploy works:

But the biggest tear jerker of all came in the form of Lord Of The Rings.

Well once the end cinematic plays, and the credits roll, I'm sure I will shed a tear. I know many bsn users don't care much about halo, but I felt a but emotional after halo 3. mass effect had been more to me than halo was, still love halo tho. Just know this is going to be an epic experience

Screw that, I'm gonna roll with Shepard and his crew even after those homicidal machines are defeated.  |:]

That is nothing like seeing them again in a new adventure. Rereading a Harry Potter book doesn't mean it didn't end. Same goes for Mass Effect, Gears of War, etc.

I know I can revisit, but I'll never get to light up again after not seeing them for a couple years when they appear on screen. It means a lot to see someone after a while, and that truly only happens when the next chapter comes. ME3 is the final chapter, thus the last time I'll smirk at the reappearance of Garrus, be mystified by a new scene with my squad, or stare with Shepard out at the Citadel. This is goodbye.

Unfortunately I get overly emotional easily in games & when reading books (not movies though. Not sure why). I wept several times in ME1 and ME2.

But nothing made me cry like the alternate ending where Shepard dies at the end of failed Suicide Mission in ME2. I bawled probably for several minutes into the credits... I cried for (almost) each squad member that died... and my dad laughed at me lovingly cus I called him on the phone to whine to him that Shepard died.... yeah... not my proudest moments, I'll admit.

Still, even though it was immense sadness and sorrow I felt by that ending, it resonated with me... probably something I'll remember for a very long time in my life.

Regardless of what occurs in ME3, happy or sad ending, I know I will probably cry harder than I ever have for a game or book... because I will know it is the last time I'll ever get to have a new adventure with my beloved friends (Shep & crew).. I know there won't be more stories of Shep and the gang, and that will have me in uncontrolled weeping at the end, no matter how joyous the ending might be.

Great now I'm all misty eyed just thinking about it. Damn it. :crying:

My goodness I wish I could give you a hug ;)

I remember LOTR. I hope Mass Effect takes it slow for the ending this time so that we can get that kind of emotion.

Hm, Mass Effect, no, never made me cry. The two times closest to tears were probably the return to an almost completely empty Normandy after having finished the SM on my first playthrough with all the crew lost, and the first and only time I had to remove dead fish from the aquarium. I expect ME3 to have a lot of really emotional scenes, it just needs to.

It's not unusual for movies, books or games to make me cry or get me close to it, though. Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and Final Fantasy VII are the games that did it best. And my top 3 movies with tear garanty would probably be The Lion King, Braveheart and LotR: The Return of the King.

Ok.... ok... Battlestar Galactica, the new series.

PLEASE tell me at least some of you cried or got a slight welling up in the tear duct at some point in that series. Please?
Surely there must be hope for me that I'm not the biggest wuss ever? This is getting embarassing for me now...

BSG, hell yeah, lots of times, all throughout the series. Intimate scenes with Bill Adama and Starbuck are the best recipe for tears for me. Bill Adama in general has a lot of potential for that (did I mention that I want (need?)Edward James Olmos to be in ME3?).
Also: "You know, I know about farming...." Posted Image

So, yes, you probably are a big wuss, but you're definitely not the only one. Posted Image

I haven't been wounded enough to cry yet in ME.  But I can see it happening if Tali, Garrus or the VS dies.  It would need to be a close death and it would need to have a point.  I could see me getting all misty eyed and stoic if Anderson died too.  Is saluting the monitor going over the top?

Garrus dying would make me so sad. He is the most comforting character to me in the game. He's like Shepard's constant pal. I'd hate it if he had to die.
