I got 15 but consider myself a Hardcore PC gamer. All games I like have over 90hrs each invested. Your ranking system sucks and reeks of right wing Christian/republican propaganda. King Kale is King Fail. Get out.

Dr Mr or Ms Lobe, what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

You may be biased due to your Southern Alabama Christian Snake cult membership.  I however tend to be unforgiving when gaming is unthinkingly labled as an obsessive pastime. Why are economic considerations emphasised over commitment to game completion. This poll is classist and promotes the very things that the Anti-game lobbyists would have the public believe about Hardcore/all gamers. Achievements are not the be all and end all of game enjoyment, contemporary achievments are not even a challenge.  In this era of digital downloads and preloads waiting in line for a game release is more about participation in a community event then the actual game. Some people that attend these pre-release partys are casual gamers that are only there for the chance to cos-play. This poll is fail, god does not exist and republicans are war criminals. Have a nice day.Image IPB

I play games to relax and enjoy myself so I consider myself a casual gamer regardless of how much time I spend on my putter playing away. And I scored 7 on your quiz testy thing.

Lol what a BS quiz.

Not even 1 quiestion about MMO gaming ?

Those Korean dudes playing 24h/day, making camps etc - they are "hardcore gamers" not someone who bought some lame dlc or ahieved lame "platinum trophies" wth is it anyway, I am playing computer games for almost 25 years now and never even heard about this bs ?

Besides yeah what a reasonable scoring, great logic here - for example:

Have your gaming habits ever adversely effected your health?(1 point) == Over 10 hours(1 point) playing a game.
Seriously ? hahaha what a laugh.

My God that hurt soo much sooo much. I'm going to go cry,

With tears of laughter. Funny enough I just found those, so yeah.  I could post the Willy Wonka thing again but you've seen it. Too bad to be so smart your just too damn stupid to let things sink in.  *Or can come up with anything remotely useful when push comes to shove*

Bye bye, take care now. (to fall down a set of stairs.)

(pirated games, and 5 dollar or less steam sales do not count)

LOL

In your view, buying a game during a Steam sale is comparable to piracy?

Skipped test as already know what I am. A casual gamer but hardcore player. That means I don't buy many games but the ones I do buy have to be seriously deep story and gameplay elements with huge amount of choices and options plus customisation, vast amounts of deep and rich even complex content and truly large investable hours in playtime.

MMO gamers aren't really hardcore gamers because even though they play a lot, they usually just play one game.  Most people who play World of Warcraft play World of Warcraft and nothing else.  I can't consider someone who just plays one game a hardcore gamer no matter how much time they invest in it.
A true hardcore gamer likes a large variety of games.  Besides, most people who play MMORPG's don't really play them.  They just stand around in Ironforge/Ogrimmar with their thumbs up their butts hitting on blood elves and saying "LEEEROOOOYYYY JENNNKIIINNNS" thinking they're funny since they can repeat an internet meme.

Also, as for steam sales being comparable to piracy.  I wasn't directly making that comparison, but spending more money to obtain what you want when it's new shows more dedication towards gaming than waiting months for a steam sale.
When pirates say they only pirate so they can try it out and then buy, what they usually mean is they'll buy it once it's 2 dollars or so on steam.  So often times piracy and steam sales are related since it's a way for PC gamers to ease their guilty conscience.

Too bad for me that I had only 3!!!:P:P:P. Whatever, I passed the age of gaming all the time couple of years ago, and now it's the time for doing more serious things in my life. I enjoy playing games whenever I have nothing else to do but not to be so depended on them. :wizard:

I still cannot imagine why there are people dare sacrifice their own life for some virtual things, and there are a lot of criminal cases related to people who are addicted by video games?! It seems to be unhealthy. At least we should go outside and take some fresh air, it is better than staying in the room all the time and let the heat of the console warms up our head.

I consider hardcore gamer someone that play game for the competitive aspect of it. It's has nothing to do with time investment.

I consider a noob someone that put a lot of time into a videogame but don't aspire to become better

I consider a Newb a new player

I consider a casual gamer someone that play a lot of game and can put a lot of time and care enough to learn during play session but never with a competitive spirit.

I consider someone that play game spontaneously not a gamer. Which a lot of people put them into the casual gamer category.

I consider myself a hardcore gamer that often end up looking like a noob when he's a newb while trying new game spontaneously.
