I'm not voting, personally. There aren't any good choices. The only game I'd consider an RPG on the list is DA2, and as much as I don't hate it like some, I don't think it deserves any awards.

Agreed. And even aside from that, With such a massively significant RPG like Skyrim just one month away from release, it seems silly to even hold such a vote right now. They should wait til the end of the year.

Hey guys, Warcraft 3 is an RPG - it has levels, skills and stats! LOL!!!

Don't be stupid.  I have more roleplay flexibility in FNV than in DA2.

And, FNV gets my vote.  I was not super impressed on my 1st pt, but the DLCs and roleplaying a character changed my mind.

I voted for Fallout New Vegas...I thought DA 2 was okay and I'm a big fan of Bioware but still. At least I'm not bragging about it and making a big deal about it like some people are doing/will do.

I voted for Witcher 2. Because i liked the story(read all the books), and its as closest as we get to awesomeness that is Planescape Torment.

Besides that it got proper sex, and its actually only true mature game there with both content and the story. And i also liked its music a lot - The Wild Hunt and For the Higher Cause are my favorites.

no way; DA2 was trash. why vote DA2 as game of the year when its so obvious that it is inferior to elder scrolls 5 in every way??

Everyone knows my hatred for TES extends to Heaven itself but I'm sure most would agree that Bethesda never creates awesome stories and/or characters and while Dragon Age 2 may have failed in many departments, I found that the story and characters were still interesting which is more than I can say for any story or/and character from a TES game.

In any case, TES isn't there for you to vote. Deus Ex isn't there. Dark Souls isn't there. The only other RPG worth comparing is Witcher 2 which those who have no powerful gaming PC probably haven't played. So that's why I voted for DA2 to be RPG of the year. So long as New Vegas doesn't make RPG of the year. I'm happy.

Oh and I hate Lionhead and Fable more than Bethesda, TES and Obsidian. Fable 3 doesn't even deserve to be in that list.

Yeah, just hate every good game and game company out there why don't you...

On the flipside, this is a game of the year contest, wether people have a powerful enough computer or not is irrelevant.

Lol, what is this, have you played NV? Its more of an RPG than Dragon Age Origins is, and certainly DA2. There is more choice nd consequence in the game within the plot, your decisions have weight, there is far more roleplaying capability and freedom to play almost anything you want, and there are more builds and combat types you can play. It beats DA2 in every single field.

And its not made by Bethesda you ******, its made by Obsidion.

Voted for TW2 but it will be interesting when Skyrim is out as then we will know the best rpg for 2011.

Skyrim doesn't count, neither does ME3 or Dark Souls or Human Revolution. They are all going to be next years contenders.

New Vegas is more RPG than DA:O and DA:2 combined. A much more solid character sheet design, a higher amount of reactivity, and more flexibility facing quests. And there's VATS for your pseudo-turn based combat.

I voted for Dragon Age II because other than Fable III were the only games I played on the list. 

While I enjoyed Fable III I felt Dragon Age II was a more of an RPG game while I think that Fable III is a fun and really good game but feels more like an action/adventure game than a RPG to me.

This. The beauty of New Vegas was the choice factor, I have played through that game at least 8 times. No two characters played the same way.

One problem I have with both DA: O and DA2 is that a lot of the fights/quests played out the same way. I never really had such a problem in New Vegas, except maybe between my laser specialist and my guns specialist. But even those had their differences.

The game gets widely better with mods, just like DA2 on the pc with mods further enhanced its replay value with me, despite me loving it already.
