Warrior. I like to play aggressively, so that was a nobrainer.

Played all of them. But my favorites were my dagger/dagger cunning rogue and my 2h pure strength warrior.

Stabbity-stab-shredding-things to pieces- elf.
It's the secret class where the darkspawn looses their limbs and body parts as fast as light. It's magic
Usually applied with a grumpy Dalish, whose snark is strong. xD

All, especially a character that embodies some traits from all classes, because I just can't help playing as awesome! ahahahaha!

I have played all of them, but my fav was my Cousland DW/Archer/Templar/Champion warrior...because warriors are supposed to be trained in all of the martial arts...then specialize in the one or two that suits their talents.

Dual wielding rogue elf or a dual wielding dwarf. I'm not especially fond of the Human noble or Dalish elf origins, but am very fond of the dwarf commoner and city elf beginnings.
I rank elves above dwarves for the pragmatic reason that the dwarves tend to be blocked by their companions a lot more. That makes clicking on them somewhat difficult.

Dual wielding Dalish elf rogue.
I like the sneaky fighting style of the rogue and I like the dalish elfs for refusing to submit to the arrogant self centered asinine humans.

I played them all. My very first character was a mage, but if I had to pick an absolute favorite it would probably be my human noble archer rogue. I prefer ranged weapons. That character also felt more relevant to the story than my mage did, and got to complete those amusing thief quests in Denerim.

I've played all the classes as well, but I prefer mages and DW rogues. The mages 'cause ... hello? Magic?! What's not to like when you incinerate or flash-freeze an enemy? And, the rogues 'cause, let's face it, too many locked chests out there and I'm not too big a fan of switching character focuses unless I absolutely have to. And, of the race, I prefer humans. Elves get too much grief through-out the whole damn storyline and makes it a little difficult to get places without sparking a fight. Neutral on the dwarves, but I still prefer humans to 'em.

I've had 3 complete playthroughs, and 2 unfinished ones.
1st playthrough: Female City Elf Rogue, dual wielding. Because, after seeing the "Origins" trailers I was most interesting in the City Elf origin. Still my favorite playthrough.
2nd playthrough: Male Human Mage. To shake things up. I feel the magic system (skill system) of DA:O gets horribly broken at higher levels, especially in the DLC.
3rd playthrough: Male Dwarven Noble Warrior. Two-handed weapon. I love dwarves and this Origin was a blast. I really do prefer playing the warrior type in these kind of fantasy games, so odd that this was my third play.
4th playthrough (unfinished): Male Dalish Elf Warrior. Archery. I was playing on Nightmare with no mages in the party (once you could ditch Morrigan, and not counting the Tower where you "have to" have Wynne.), unless you count Shale as one. Tactically challenging but many things intervened to make me not finish this play.
5th playthrough: Male Human Noble Warrior. Sword and shield. This was to see the origin, though I had intended to play it through. Got distracted by other things and didn't finish.

Lots of Playthroughs, but my favorites were always the mages. Ranged damage dealers, Support healers/Buffers, or Melee Arcane Warriors.

I prefer playing as a melee character usualy a warrior (will go either sword and shield or 2 hander), I will also play as a dw rogue from time to time. Only ever did one full mage playthrough and I have never played as an archer. I guess I just prefer to get down and dirty with blood flying all around me.
My warriors are either humans or dwarves (either dwarven origin) and dw rogues are city elves.

Warrior, because most versatile and not complicated, easy to play and easy to master.
Warrior can be build as i like.
- Sword and Shield Warrior
- Two Handed Weapon Warrior
- Dual Wield Warrior
- Archer
- Assaulter
- Tank/Defender
- Damager
- Magical Warrior/Templar
- Pure Warrior/Champion/Berserker
- Dark Warrior/Reaver
A warrior can wear the heaviest armor and weapon available, have access to all armor and weapons in the game.

I wanted to be an duel-wielding city elf and every website said that rogues did the most damage, so that's the class I went with. I actually wanted to be a warrior, but given city elves' extreme poverty and rogues' reliance on cunning (something desirable for the character), it seemed fitting from a role-playing perspective.
To be honest though, I like every class. Rogue archers and duel-wielders, mage nukers and entropers, shield-bashing and two-handed warriors... every class has something to offer, and I like exploring different ways of overcoming obstacles. (I.e. different ways of killing enemies.)

Human Noble Rogue/Assassin/Shadow Duel Wielding.
A Noble born Rogue shrew about politics of the nobles in relationship to each other and the non nobles.

My favorite hands down is DW cunning Rogue. Preferable in the CE variety, but I have no problem doing Dwarf commoner and HN (especially female....I think it works for RP reasons really well). I have played all the classes, and in most classic hack n' slash games I always played either casters or archers; DA really made me love DW rogues......daggers for all!!!

All of the classes are diverse, but I really enjoy all the stuff you can do with mages.
I spent most of my first playthrough completely baffled as to which spells I wanted to upgrade, because I wanted them all, damnit.
If I'm not being a mage, I like to be a rogue because not being able to unlock chests gets my OCD looter self freaking out.

I like mages a lot too- somewhat of a staple class for my runs given how useful they are in combat- but my favorite to play through all the games I've ever played is rogue for exactly the reason mentioned above:
"Rogue. I hate not being able to loot locked chests. HATE IT!"
hehe... DAO rogues get the most options for skills and their backstabs are great to watch occurring repeatedly. In DAO rogues also don't suffer penalties to combat for not being "pure" warriors, even gaining advantages due to their class-based higher DEX or CUN. Though a warrior can wear everything and wield everything (except mage and rogue stuff), I don't mind not being able to sport heavy armor when I've got Defense +120 and I like less encumbering armor anyway given how it looks. And daggers do so well and look so fabulous particularly given the speed that it's hard to be concerned about not wielding the nicest longsword. Plus I like sneaking around, stealing stuff, and being to do some nice grenade explosions just as if I were a mage.

Depends on character intent most of the time. Though Rogue tends to edge out most of the time due to pack rat tendencies yelling at me with each locked chest on the (thankfully rare) occasions I can't have an NPC rogue in my party. After that is Mage to make things go 'boom'.
