Bioware stated ME3 is gonna make us cry but looking back.. I can't really recall getting even sad over the course of the first 2 games despite decisions.  Sure I miss certain characters and didnt want certain characters to die. There also have been moments that made me go O_O But as far as feeling sad.. I havent felt that way

Anytime that Bioware made me hopeful that I might be able to save the Krogan, but then I couldn't. Well, it didn't make me sad in the way that I was anywhere near crying, it just made me a little sad.

Never have I cried over anything. I would have about VS but Shepard doesn't really show much emotion except for closing his eye for like less than a seconds. I have felt a little sad in the game but never any tears. Hell, the death of Ironhide (in Transformer: DotM) hurt me more than any scene from Mass Effect.

Overlord's ending for sure.

Virmire was fairly sad, but I would've cared a lot more had the decision been either Garrus or Wrex or Liara or somebody who I cared about more.

Plenty, but then again I do tend to get emotionally whisked away in a story. :)

1. Vigil conversation.
2. "Mommy loves you very much!" on the Alarei
3. "Shepard! My friend..."

I almost never cry. Last time I cried was in April when I had to put my Golden Retriever to sleep, that dog was awesome. R.I.P. Leo. Games, movies, T.V. shows, none of those make me cry (although if they are really good and very sad, I have gotten the "lump in my throat" feeling). I'll leave crying over imaginary stuff to the ladies.

Not enough to make me cry, but sad, sure.

Virmire, any squadmate this would've still made me sad about, it just so happens Ashley and Kaidan are two of my favourites, so this was a kick in the teeth, I always feel bad about sacrificing any of them, just walking over to where they would be on the ship and not seeing them there.

Shepards death at the end of ME2 was sad, actually the death at the start was also pretty sad.

Overlord.

The Normandy crash site, this was pretty sad walking around the wreakage, all the memories from ME1, the Normandy, Mako and some of the crew laid to rest here.

I remember me.

Lost freighter.

Arrival, 300'000 Batarian lives ended at Shepards hand, some people may hate the Batarians but some of those people killed would've been innocents such as children.

The only scene so far giving me a bad, a really bad feeling was Horizon, since I couldn't do anything here.

However, have some additional scenes:

- Virmire, since I have to sacrifice either Ash or Kaidan. Ash is my fav LI, so killing her on Virmire would be even more bad than losing Kaidan - which is already bad enough.

- Overlord, as Funkcase said, comes also with a sad moment ... it gave me chills. Most likely since it was kinda a protest against unneccessary experiments with humans, but also animals. At least that's what I read out.

- Normandy's end + her grave. Both quite sad moments.

We get it. Take a chill pill.

I don't like one VS at the expense of the other, so leaving one of them to die was sad for me.

Never cried at a scene, but I think it's really sad after LotSB when Liara leaves and Shepard sits there saying, "Come back soon." Shep just looks so... lonely.

Same with Horizon, after the VS says goodbye and Shep looks down. :/ Or when Shep is faithful and ME2 and just stares at the picture of the ME1 love interest.

I haven't cried yet, but Virmire, the destruction of the Normandy SR-1, and Horizon all gave me a depressed feeling.

I teared up when I read Thane's letter from LOTSB, and that was just a bunch of text. I trust ME3 will be profoundly more effective in this department.

I don't really cry, as mentioned before. But a few moments made me sad. Mostly on the loyalty missions.

The death of the Normandy and Shepard.
"Mommy loves you very much!" on Tali's mission.
End of Overlord.

You are implying that you are sometimes NOT angry.

I don't think anything made me sad.

When I was playing ME1 - I wasn't expecting to choose between Kaidan and Ash. My brother was watching me play and teasing me about the fact that I was playing paragon and saying "you're such a butt kisser!" When - suddenly - I had to choose between Kaidan and Ash...immediately he was like "HA! Sucks! Who you gonna choose! Who ya gonna chooose!" That was probably the most frustrating part and it didn't help my brother was teasing me about it.

I think another part would be...choosing people for the SM and having one die. Again, nothing was ever SAD. I mean it is ultimately a video game. But it was disappointing when someone died.

Yeah, I like that scene before SM as well. It's not exactly "sad", but - at least in my eyes - far more rewarding than any of the other scenes. But that's just my oppinion.

If I remember correctly Shepard and Kelly were talking about what happened on Horizon later - Shepard seems to be really sad, would say, heartbroken, but as usual s/he takes it and moves on.

Thread is kinda similar to the "Goodbye" thread, but I'll jump in for a smidge..

Have cried many times, in both games. In ME1 I cried the most when I thought Shepard died at the end...

This entire part of ME2 makes me cry incessantly: have played & seen it many times and I keep weeping like a child through the whole thing. :crying:

The end of Overlord made me cry like a baby, I teared up when Thane was reunited with Kolyat, my first time experiencing the Vimire decision, and when the Normandy was destroyed and Shep died. I also felt intense sadness during Mordin's loyalty mission. I've felt emotion during a lot of ME2 really, I feel very close to the series and to Shepard.

I actually got a little misty eyed when Miranda salutes Shepard.

Our little squaddies grow up so fast...:crying:
