Not really, as leaving Kaiden behind didn't exactly break my heart.

gathering tags on Alchera

I might have been a little sad at this part had I not gotten to wondering how those dog tags got inside crates. Were those the traveling compartments for the third-class passengers?

When I finished the Suicide Mission without any casualties on my first playthrough.

Heh, I wasn't sad when it happened to me. I laughed for 5 minutes at how easy it was.

Failing Thane's loyalty mission was awful. I didn't cry, but I felt like a terrible human being.

In terms of NPCs, Erinya the Baria Frontiers representative always makes me feel choked up, especially when I realized who her daughters were from the first game. And the salarian night workers who Nassana set her dogs on. Not to mention the batarian who you can help on the way to Mordin's clinic, and the way he thanks you for saving him. Yes, I'm a wuss and I know it.

You all have mentioned a lot of really impacting moments, and I will refrain from repeating them all again.

Instead, I will mention a moment that never ceases to make me smile. I always keep an extra save right before I talk to Wrex for the first time in ME2. Just him exclaiming, "SHEPARD?! My friend!! You look wel for dead Shepard. Should've known the void couldn't hold you," it always makes me smile like an idiot. :D

Thread is kinda similar to the "Goodbye" thread, but I'll jump in for a smidge..

Have cried many times, in both games. In ME1 I cried the most when I thought Shepard died at the end...

This entire part of ME2 makes me cry incessantly: have played & seen it many times and I keep weeping like a child through the whole thing. :crying:

Oh hey. I watched that before without realizing you made it.

Cool! Small interwebz world:wizard:

Never cried at ME, but there were sad moments.

1. Virmire made me sad when 2 of my team died on my first playthrough.
2. The video message left by a Quarian mum on Tali's Loyalty mission is very poignant. Good VA there.
3. Seeing Garrus in suicide mode with the bodies of his dead team members all lined up on the floor.

Can't think of any others right now.

I Remember Me (good ending, but what they did to the girl...), end of Overlord, that salarian talking to his asari stepdaughter whether she and her mother will remember him after he dies, the krogan who wants to believe he has a son in the female camp, Virmire (especially if you leave behind the one on the Nuke), Sovereign possessong Saren after convincing him to shoot himself, From the Wreckage scene,...

The only emotion I'm allowed to express is rage ... but if I were to feel sad (or at least ashamed) it would be at anytime where I disappointed someone.

The only time I felt a little sad was when meeting those Salarian workers on Illium.

One of the moments in ME2 that touched me most was the first time I successfully completed Tali's loyalty mission without getting her exiled, especially picking the "She's with me." dialog option. It wasn't a sad moment, but the conversation with Tali after the conclusion of the trial was definitely emotional.

no, I'm not weak.

DA2 on the other hand made me cry over and over again.

ME 1 "I Remember Me"

ME2 When I realized the entire game was pretty much just recruitment/loyalty missions and the Collectors were just a MacGuffin.

Not sad exactly. So rarely happens that i can't even remember the last time but these parts atleast get a small reaction

I remember me: It doesn't matter how many times i play ME1, that assignment always get a reaction out of me

Project Overlord

The video message from the Quarian mother on the Alerai

Gathering the tags on Alchera

Shepard! My friend!

Tali and her father: The ''paragon'' hug!

Thane's letter

A few moments.

For me, one of the most poignant moments is when Shepard and Dr. Chakwas are sharing a bottle of Serrice Ice Brandy, and reminiscing about Jenkins, and Dr. Chakwas shares some of her personal stuff. It's not big and epic, it's small and sad, and it's just one of those moments that come and go, that many people don't think about again. You get the impression that the exchange doesn't mean that much to Shepard, but that it means a lot to Dr. Chakwas. Poignant moments aren't always dramatic death scenes with sweeping music.

The "Memories of Illium" conversation, the quarian mother's dying plea to her child on the Alarei, and some of the other moments mentioned here are also on my list.

And to the juvenile idiots who think having human emotions is weak, I say "you're the weak one". And you don't even know it. It's sad really, but I won't shed a tear for any of you.

Ugh! I hate that scene! Where are you from? I'm British and to me Chakwas just sounds ridiculous. I mean her accent is spot on but the way she talks... maybe it's just bad acting but I really have trouble suspending my disbelief. The guy who plays Zaal'Koris (and others) is much more convincing. Hey ho, horses for courses, etc.

The derelict ship in ME1 where the girlfriend goes insane trying to save her boyfriend. It broke my heart that I had to kill her in self defense and I decided to put him out of his misery so they could possibly be together in the afterlife.

Not really, collecting tags brought forth some sentimentality but that's about it.

That's not what I meant. I was theorising that characters with foreign accents can sometimes be more believable because of the lack of familiarity. Like, I bet people from... wherever Tali's accent comes from... think she sounds ridiculous.
