When I finished ME2 I felt hoodwinked, confused, the game was ending when I thought it was just taking off. I was expecting to go look around for a way to neutralize the reaper threat but the game was over.

Eventually I came to terms with it and played the game a bit more. Taking it in as a seperate game on it's own, it's not so bad. Though on my 1st playthrough I thought of it as a sequel and I thought it was horrible.

That's about the only thing that got a reaction out of me in ME2, unless you count laughs. I did laugh a few times.

True story.

The "I Remember Me" quest from ME1.

I didn't feel sad, but I did feel emotional, when I saw the SR2 for the first time. Every playthrough I still feel a bit whenever it comes up after Freedom's Progress.

Bioware stated ME3 is gonna make us cry but looking back.. I can't really recall getting even sad over the course of the first 2 games despite decisions.  Sure I miss certain characters and didnt want certain characters to die. There also have been moments that made me go O_O But as far as feeling sad.. I havent felt that way

Nothing makes me sad in my ME1&2 games, but the one thing makes me really angry...destroying of Normandy..I was so bounded to my beautifull ship...but fortunetly I could to blow up this f....k Collector ship who dares to touch my flying babyImage IPB

When Benezia died, I am always saddened by the death of the mind controlled/misguided Hot Evil Female Characters.

Violetta in Grandia III, Millenia in Grandia II before it is revealed she is still alive, Legretta The Quick in Tales of the Abyss.... The list just goes on.

- Krogan dad who wants to live as a family
- Liara's explanation why she's angry at the shadow broker
- Nef's vlogs on Samara's loyalty mission
- "Mommy loves you very much" on Tali's loyalty mission
- The scene of the Tali hug
- The two men on the derelict Reaper who can't sort through their memories
- Final Thane romance scene
- End of Overlord

Weird, I don't remember any from ME1 >_< The Virmire choice wasn't "sad" as much as it was "panic", to me. Took me a good 20 minutes or so before I managed to say goodbye to Ashley.

Talitha made me sad, and vengeful. Both Meer & Hale do a good job here too; Hale is more vengeful than Meer though. >_>

Vigil was sad, but it mostly offered hope as the torch that the Protheans tossed into the future to destroy the Reapers.

I'm sure there are more, but it's been a while and there are situations that aren't exactly sad, but I feel bad for them (such as the indoctrinated Salarians in ME 1).

enemy protections and TCS make more more sadder then any story point in the series. even wrex demoted to a tiny cameo, or choosing ash over kaiden, or even doing the ME1 sidequest from the mindoir background dont compare to my sedness from TCs and enemy protections. although TCs are more of a disapointment.

Without question at the end of Overlord when David was repeating the square root of 912.04 is 30.2...it all seemed harmless combined with the music  made me choke up a little when I first beat it.

After LOTSB when Liara comes up to the Normandy, and then leaves Shepard sitting on the bed saying out loud, "Come back soon." Shepard looks so lonely and desolate like she has the world on her shoulders. It really brought home how terribly sad it would be to feel like she had all this to bear alone when the Virmire Survivor spoke so harshly to her on Horizon. Nobody to depend on, expected to do everything and not allowed a moment for happiness. The "happily drunk" moment with Doctor Chakwas made so much more sense after that.

The "Mommy loves you very much" part of Tali's loyalty mission.

Watching all the death scenes on the Suicide Mission (oh god I got so teary-eyed watching those, regardless of the character, but Tali's scream when taken away by the swarms was haunting to the core.)

Those are the ones that stand out to me.

I still get upset when I hear that part. The VA packed so much damn emotion in that line.

Saphra: That's not true at all. Morinth did she something remarkable about her.
That's what drew her to Nef in the first place.

True enough, but I think poor Nef and Morinth had rather different definitions of what "remarkable" meant. Morinth gets her kicks out of destroying beautiful people. Nef assumed that Morinth loved beautiful people. Which, judging from her logs, wasn't something she saw herself as until she met Morinth.

Saphra: In the end she did end Nef's suffering in the slums of Omega, didn't she?

Like CrazyCatDude said, Nef was hardly in a position where life was so painful death was a preferable alternative. Espescially not a betrayal-death combo.

Besides, the question is irrelevant. Morinth did not intend her actions as a mercy. She would have murdered her anyway if she'd met Nef on Illium or the Citadel.

"I Remember Me" was the only time I teared up during a video game (Paragon path obviously). Well written, simple, and no action other than the gun she was holding. I am hoping they can do it again with ME3!

Shepards death in the beginning was an epic scene, would have made me cry if BW didn't spoil the only decent plot device in the game.

I never really felt like crying, well atleast not due to an emotional scene, i cried several times during planet scanning, and horrible dialogue/plot elements.

I also remember crying where Grunt said: "He kill them wi' their love. Wi' their love fo' each other. That's how it is, every day, all over the world."
Ahh, i'll never forget that line.... wait a min:huh:

On my first play through yes, yes I did.  Given how I had avoided all media related to ME2 and just preordered it based off of how good of a game I found ME1 to be.  Sort of a reward the developer deal because I stumbled across the first one used.  I wanted to support them but don't worry I learned my lesson.

This example goes beyond the Fourth Wall a little bit. I made the decision to not send anyone to help my crew (Suicide Mission) in a heartbeat. I cared about my team, and refused to risk any of them for Cerberus personnell. When I got the message that they'd all died, it didn't bother me at all. But when I finished the suicide mission, and went back up to the CIC, the emptiness of the place seemed to scream at me. At that point I realised that I, as a player, had callously let good and brave characters die horribly. And I did it because they were Cerberus, an organisation I hated, because they callously kill people. He who fights monsters indeed....

Wow, I just read this. Pretty good realisation you had right there. Just reading about it had an effect on me, too =)
