Virmire.

I'm not sure I can say it made me sad per say as much as just it hit me hard emotionally.

Too bad I was dumb and replayed that section like 5 times trying to figure out how to not lose anybody... kinda lessened the impact a tad :pinched: :P

I'm going to promise myself not to reload any sections in ME3 during the first play through.

Corporal Tombs ... in short.

was one of my ME1 playthroughs and it wins it hands down. For some reason I did get to do that specific side quest a bit earlier then I usually did and my Paragon/Renegade score wasn't high enough and therefore I couldn't convince/bully him into giving up (I usually managed to convince him on previous playthroughs). I wasn't aware of me taking that quest earlier so I went into the situation fully expecting to convince/bully him into giving up and it never occurred to me that my Paragon/Renegade score would be too low.

End result he shot the Scientist and then turn the gun on himself ...

and I was silent, my Shepard's outlook on the game changed. As I couldn't just go on and play him as normal and my own outlook on that Sheppard changed as well.

Single most "stunning" experience in ME, mainly because a) it took me completely by surprise and B) he killed himself .. needlessly.

Yeah, that's a good one.. It's really depressing...

Also Vigils conversation, Virmire and Joker when we die in the end of the second.. Thane's letter from LOTSB was also pretty sad..

A personal sad moment, that most people probably will disagreeImage IPB, is the mako..Image IPB Poor puppy..

Virmire - even after countless playthroughs I pace that decision out with Shepard and it still makes me pause the game to think about it.

Tombs - puts the rocket under my Shepards when it comes to Cerberus. So sad.

The woman in the Colonist background quest. She's so, destroyed, by her experiences.

I'm sure there are more but those are the three that stand out. I'm currently replaying ME1 and have just done the Toombs mission, so it was fresh in my mind.

They already did that before we all got to play ME3...when they announce Origin as being required to play... Anything else from ME3 will have the impact of a saturday morning cartoon from the early 90s...

The 2nd thing to make me cry in ME3 is if there is no gamepad support for the PC version.

The 3rd is if there is no custom soundtrack option for the PS3 version.

The last will more than likely happen since Bioware is in the dark ages. No 1080P Native res...

If you ment story wise, no one can predict that far... Too many other obsticles before poppin in the disk....

Oh there was 1 story part, but it was mainly for redoing your shep's looks, The Spaced seg of ME2's beggining. But they immediately erase the impact of it be him being brought back 2 sec later... Im guessing he will die again to reset his looks again?

Virmire. Leaving Kaiden to die was the saddest moment for me. It's just how he took it and reassuring Ash that it was the right choice for him to be left behind that made my heart ache.....

I almost never cry. Last time I cried was in April when I had to put my Golden Retriever to sleep, that dog was awesome. R.I.P. Leo. Games, movies, T.V. shows, none of those make me cry (although if they are really good and very sad, I have gotten the "lump in my throat" feeling). I'll leave crying over imaginary stuff to the ladies.

Give "Hachiko" a try, i cry everytime i watch that. Image IPB

If you destroy the base at the end and you see harbinger releasing control, I actually felt a little bad for the Collector general. Not sad but when I watched that scene knowing what the collectors are, It was like it was realizing what it actually was and what it meant to them seeing that they had failed.

The Samarra/Morinth showdown I think was done brilliantly, it always gives me chills! And if you side with Samarra it always make me feel really sad when she says she just killed he bravest and the strongest of her daughters.

Also when the Collector General at the very end is released from Harbinger and he just looks around and resigns himself to being blown up makes me feel really sad too, very powerful!

"I Remember Me" was the only time I teared up during a video game (Paragon path obviously). Well written, simple, and no action other than the gun she was holding. I am hoping they can do it again with ME3!

Why does everyone think the reneagade option path is bad for that mission. It's just like the paragon one except you inspire strenght with Tabitha bytelling her how strong you are. The only renegade path that turns yourback on her is the option to say " let her shot herself" when your first asked for help.

Add "Plague Dogs" to that list of tragic dog stories. While Hachiko did have me bowling at the end, I have to say it was a very boring movie overall. Futurama did it better:innocent:.

Oh, and is this off-topic month?

That was a very good line indeed. but I still think she seems a bit hypocritical.

Me too. I know a guy with Autism who is brilliant at maths, but his Autism is making it very difficult to do anything useful with his brilliance.

I agree, espicially as Samarra specifically states at one point that Mornith didn't go on the run to take any kind of moral stance, she simply wants to keep killing! How that is strong, brave or makes Samarra pround escapes me and in the long run ruined that storyline for me. But I thought the actual confrontation was done very well and that line still always makes me sad!

Overlord's ending and having to leave someone behind on Virmire.

Also, the 'I remember me' quest from ME1.

Oh yes all true, though I wasn't even thinking that far, just her stance at the start of the confrontation, remember she wouldn't even let Monrith call her her mother? Perhaps she wasn't meaning the things she said.
Yes I'm starting to really dig her voice actress you can hear the sorrow everytime she talks to you about Morinth and really makes you feel for an otherwise fairly uninteresting character who's hard to relate to.

When Liara wanted sex with my Shepard, even after he explicitly told her he wanted nothing to do with her, forcing me to replay 7 hours of ME1. That was sad.

I don't really cry, as mentioned before. But a few moments made me sad. Mostly on the loyalty missions.

The death of the Normandy and Shepard.
"Mommy loves you very much!" on Tali's mission.
End of Overlord.

Yeah, that part on Tali's mission was pretty brutal. Regret, sorrow, desperation, futility... all rolled up in a few seconds.  I imagine trying to get a goodbye message with seconds left before death comes storming through the door would be quite intense to put it in the most mild terms.
