Nor her skin color, at least in that picture.

She still has dark skin, but she looks paler because of the lighting. The whole image has a "faded wall mural" feel to it. Even Varric looks like a ghost, but his stubble helps mask it.

In any case, I wouldn't cancel my ME3 pre-order over it.

Varric almost looks too epic, though somehow still fitting. I'd say though she looks a little too pale, paler than she did in Origins by memory in the Pearl's lighting. Though the first picture we saw when this was first mentioned, she still had dark skin, so I don't think it will be a consistent thing. Side-note, I really like that Alistair.

I dig that wolf's head shield.

Good work putting that together, Wiedzmin.

I like the more barbarian leather/fur, too bad Ferelden didn't have that theme more prominently.

Sailor #1: So a Dog Lord, a Pirate, and a Surface Dwarf dock in Antiva...
Sailor #2: OH HO! I've heard this one before-
Sailors (In Unison): So she tosses him his smallclothes then says "And, again, the cheese stands alone!"
*raucous laughter*

I believe Zevran mentions a witch of the Antivan Tellari Swamp in a banter with Morrigan, rumored to be a Witch of the Wilds traveled far from her home. Another possibility for twisty-fingers lady.

I do not know. But this is the same armor from the image.

Yeah, Zev also teases Morrie with the possibility that she has sisters...

Not a wolf's head but the twin Mabaris of House Theirin. Calenhad started life as a Mabari trainer...

Yup, Zevran brings it up as a possibility of Morrigan having a "sister" of sorts.

But its basically confirmed Flemeth is in the comic, so the only question is whether they'll have another new Witch of the Wilds (or Morrigan) in the story or just leave it at Flemeth? Considering it seems we're getting some answers as to whats the deal with Maric, and probably what he did with Flemeth.

Isabela looks white in that promo art.

It's common knowledge that the Rivaini people are dark complected. :P

Wow, love the art work on this, I wouldn't mind having this as a lithograph. Hmmm, Alistair is holding a blue scarf in his hand.  This could signal he is looking for the female Hero Of Ferelden.  Also looks like he has a mabari war hound along. Seems to be one looking over his shoulder, not fully part of his shield. Is that really Isabela, if so she kinda looks heavy in the middle! Not a great job on the chest area! Doesn't do her credit.  She is white because she is standing behind Alistair's divine light!

Who is skelton king? Was Alistair part of Andraste's blood line? Hmmm, maybe.

In the lore somewhere a book is given to Wynne on Andraste being a mage. Was it possible she might have been a shapeshifter as Flemeth and Morrigan or are they all the same? If Fiona is Alistair's mother, then Alistair could possibly be a King or ruler of the elves as well. Speculation sure is fun!

Hmmm, beard guy possibilites: Teagan, (Mage) Hawke, King Maric, Trevinter Mage, Possibly his son with you know who? Possibilities are endless!

Hmmmm, divine light around his head.....uh could Alistair be the Maker!  Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Just sort of thinking out loud here! Don't take me serious, just in fun throwing ideas out there.

I can't wait to read this.

One little thing, why has Flemeth's dragon look changed again? The head and tail-spikes are different from DA2. Bioware really needs to find a proper design and stick to it.

Why? She can change her human look. Changing her dragon look would be just as easy, no?

I've come to really not like the overly stylized simple style they have at the bottom of the cover there. I liked it at first in DA2, but its just so stylized to the point that it really doesn't make any sense within the world- who is supposed to be drawing things like that? Is it supposed to be Elven? Dwarven art? Tevinter? Orlesian? It just looks far too abstract and cave painting-esque to fit in to the overall world.

The actual detailed art on the cover by Ramil Sunga is great though- its got actual little details in it that have sorely been lacking in the actual games. His stuff for Origins was great.

Only wondering now who the dead king on the bottom is? Is it Maric? The crown has a big bearded guy on it, almost dwarven looking. And then who the bearded guy with the cape is and who the hooded Morrigan look alike with the twisty fingers is? Plus the odd looking guys with the masks on the left.

Uh... any reason that Isabella looks kind of... preggos in that picture?

I mean, she has pencil thin arms and neck, but her mid section looks pretty rotund.

I think it's the way she is positioned, and the way her tunic is stylized. She doesn't strike me as pregnant.

@ Brockololly

Really? You took skelton king's crown to be dwarven? I took that crown to look more elvish in design.

If you zoom in on the front of it you can see a dwarf head with a long mustache on it. Or it is really really close to what it looks like.

Ok, I zoomed in.  It does show a man with a long beard, that does not mean the man is a dwarf, he looks human to me.  Could this be the remains of King Calenhad?  At least to me this is what it looks like.   Also the witch in the red also reminds me of those funny statues we saw all over the place anywhere near blood mages or elven ruins.  The hands thing.  There was something similar in the fade too in origins.

(Edit for closer look on the skelton crown)

I'm trying to decide if the spirally design element around Alistair is supposed to be a DNA double-helix. :)

ETA: I do like the waves behind Izzy and the mountains behind Varric, though.

ETA2: Dude at the bottom is either a Crow or one of their targets; probably a Crow since he seems to be commanding a large number of masked men, and it makes more sense to put an antagonist on the cover.  There's a murder of crows flying in the space just above him.

Yeah I saw the waves too.  Looks like stars near the waves too over the land.  The halo behind his head could be the sun symbol for Andraste and the Chantry.

ETA:  Yeah I saw the masked men and yes I'd agree they are Crows.  But I think the bearded fellow is someone loyal to Alistair. Hawke when he visits Hain Castle in Kirkwall had a tunic similar to this.  The man is paying homage to Alistair, his salute to him as King.  I'd say the beard guy is Hawke, makes sense with Isabela and Varric.
