You forgot: stealing candy from babies, kicking puppies, tripping blind people, making their underlings work threw Feastday, and tieing kossith women to train tracks.

Mouahaha

To me it seems that Aurelian plans to use the blood of kings, to control the dragons. But why?

Attack on the Chantry?

Ughh...seriously, who is coloring these comics? Since when is Alistair a ginger!?

It's possible that he's gone ginger as part of a disguise. Do we know that he's waltzed into Tevinter in his kingly robes? Maybe he's pretending to be a visiting noble - that way, he gets access to the fancy parties, but isn't drawing too much unwanted attention.

Wow, thanks for sharing those pages. Interesting. Does anyone know if they're releasing these ones digitally at all, or is it just in print?

Better than blue-skinned Alistair. Overall the art doesn't seem as attractive as The Silent Grove by a bit, though. And those blue eyes are starting to bother me. Did the person coloring this do any more than glance at Alistair's in-game model in Origins? I find it strange how confident, no-nonsense, and badass Alistair is portrayed in these comics. He makes a few quirky comment, but they are few and far between and I don't recall ever seeing his snarky smile. He visited Hawke just a year before SG and was perfectly himself which makes it even more odd. He might be under heavy emotional stress and determination about Maric, but still this isn't how I would imagine him copeing with it by itself nor would I imagine a near-complete personality change.

Probably isn't wise to note that Titus may have yellow Flemeth eyes in light of Alistair. Not a fan of his design in general becuase he really is trying too hard to look sinister and evil. He's a Tevinter cultist leader and if dragon imagery is involved that must mean the Old Gods. It would indicate why he's intrested in a place that was a haven for lesser dragons.

This Caldenhad stuff really needs explaining. "Scion of Calenhad"? He's not that old and I doubt his family name has stayed the same over countless generations, unless Calenhad was aware of and adopted the name of his ancient bloodline. Perhaps it's just for convinience.

The little backround scenery definitely has an ancient roman element to it, but the attire is distinctly steampunk. An odd mix.

It's Tevinter. When have they ever been said to be anything else? And we're dealing with their cults, to boot.

Wasn't the whole point of grabbing Maric that they all know he's a descendent of Calenhad? So, therefore, Alistair is also a scion of Calenhad? Not sure what's confusing there...

I hope so. The Dark Horse site says you can pre-order at TFAW, in print, which is different than what they did for the Silent Grove comics.

*sigh* AND, I just answered my own question...  they also list it as coming soon in the digital store. So, nevermind.

I'm just wondering why Calenhad is the name they use. He certainly isn't anywhere near the origin of the bloodline and the surname probably isn't as well. Then I answered my own question about how it's probably just for convinience because he's the most recent remergence of the bloodline's fame and greatness and no one really knows the name of its origin.

Aaah, I see what you mean. Hmmm. I guess I was thinking that meant there was something special about Calenhad himself, but good point that the bloodline specialness is supposed to go back "before the Veil." Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they mention him because he's so recognizable, but would be nice to know why his blood is the key. (and ... why am I having Legacy flashbacks...? :D)

The King of Ferelden goes to Tevinter, approaches the heavily-armed Tevinter Magister that is surrounded by his men and reveals his identity to said magister which has an interest in tracking him down.

Way to go, Alistair. Horrid king, thank heavens you're dead and can't screw up this badly in my universe.

Better to force a confrontation like that on your terms than wait for a new group of assassins to show up.

Hawke did pretty much the same thing to the Carta during Legacy.

It was pretty stupid then, though somewhat forgivable because Hawke isn't a nation's leader at the time.

It might not be that sensible, but it's undoubtedly a lot more fun.

Come on! Who reads comics to see opposing sides peacefully talk out their issues?

And, comic!Alistair has already been favoring the overthetop dramatics over sensible caution with his Yavanna murder-knifing anyway...

I'm just glad to see a politician taking a firm stance on the tough issues. NO on kidnapping; YES on stabbing witches!

This is one reason I don't have much faith in BioWare being able to tell a subtle, political type story. Everything always ends up resorting to melodrama. Yeah, go ahead and reveal your identity and assault this guy on his home turf. I'm sure that'll work out great.

No problem :D

We all know, that after Maric's disappearance, Ferelden had languished. In addition, a Blight and the civil war fell upon the country. Alistair had to face a  great challenge: rebuild his kingdom and deal with politics. However, he constantly had the one thing on his mind: his father. That is why, he was ready to do anything.

Alistair knew what he would see in Tevinter when he went there. He also knew that while chasing his father's mystery he will go anywhere, even Tevinter.

Why did he reveal his identity?

Alistair is a king and man of honor. He promised that he will bring Maric back - no matter the cost.

He showed his face on the very beginning, because he is tired of Mages, Witches, and all the machinations. He wanted to know the truth.

He rather face the cunning Magister in the open than hide by the walls and stalk Aurelian.

We need to remember that Alistair also have two smart and agile companions, so even if he get caught there will always be someone to help him. Therefore, by saying  'I'm the King of Ferelden' out on the street he showed that he fears no one.

Very true. Apparently stealthy infiltration of his estate and isolating Titus so he can use his Templar abilities to render most of his magic useless isn't a much smarter approach to getting the answers he wants.

Well I supoose I can't blame Alistair seeing as he couldn't bring a few cunning rogues with him to make such a plan possi- oh wait. Image IPB

It goes both ways , a magister killing or hurting the King of Ferelden with witness around may be frown upon.
And we don't know what happened before Alistair confronts Titus.
Or maybe Alistair is just stupid (won't be the first time ^^)
