Most of the Bioware comics (for DA and ME) have been terrible so far. .

And lastly...if there is this whole world of Thedas why limit it to a handful of characters? If each game is going to have a different protagonist then why not also follow suit and have new characters to expand Thedas in other media? After all haven't the devs stated they wanted to explore Thedas more? Kind of boring, imho, if seen through the eyes of the same people all of the time.

There was alot of chocies in DAO and DAO gave a fantastic illusion but in the end, choices ment nothing since it always ended in the same outcome. Archdemon dies. Let's compare this to say TW2 which choices do have a meanning, There is so many outcomes it's not even funny.

With these three characters, the levels of Snark should be pretty incredible.

The lore, locations, new characters and things like Alistair's little secret or the dragon stuff is canon. As such, plenty reasons for it to exist.LexXxich wrote...
It's so non-canon, I see no reason for it's existence..
"Hero of Ferelden" (Default): A young man from a noble family rose to become a Grey Warden, then ended the Fifth Blight by killing the Archdemon himself–-and surviving. He always strove for the greater good, and placed his friend Alistair on the throne of Ferelden.

I guess I'm just most curious about how they deal with or mention the Warden. Obviously this is BioWare's canon, but will all of these ancillary products build off of the default "Hero of Ferelden" import choice in DA2?"Hero of Ferelden" (Default): A young man from a noble family rose to become a Grey Warden, then ended the Fifth Blight by killing the Archdemon himself–-and surviving. Cause with characters like Alistair whose standing in the world is heavily tied to the Warden, it would be very hard to have him in a story, potentially hunting a Witch of the Wilds, without even mentioning the Warden one way or another. So will they just roll with a Cousland Warden that did the DR or will they just leave it ambiguous who the Warden was?

Not necessarily -- you can either tell Shale to just go away after you wake her up, or there's possibility someone else activates her when the PC didn't.erilben wrote...
Probably not. The "Hero of Ferelden" has the "Shale followed the Warden" flag set to 0 (not true), which means Shale is still a statue in Honnleath I guess?

I hope they run into Neil Patrick Harris on the way.

So then even though the Warden doesn't bring Wynne and Shale together, they somehow end up together anyway?

I´ll probably get it, but I wish they didn´t use characters who can have a deep relationship with the PC. Alistair will at best be vague about the Warden even if she is his wife. Same for Isabella, unless the comic takes place while she´s still in the "anything that moves" phase (at least this fits well with the only Hawke I´ve finished so far). The Asunder book probably will be the same with Wynne.

This would mean only writing about characters that most people are less interested in reading about--not a very good way to get a large readership. Personally, I'd much rather read something that differs from my personal canon--which is just one choice among many, after all--than have them never revisit popular characters and expand on their stories.
