Make a funny guttaral sound in the back of your throat. Then try and right it down. You should get something like "Ghrurak" or "Arghrk".

Wow. No preamble, no explanation and I see, "Good Orc Names..." and I'm thinking, "Hmm, Grulak Cracked Fang of the Red Hand, that's a pretty good orc name. Or maybe, Luglad Broken Tusk of the Black Nails, hell yeah, that's a great orc name!"

And I see your first three names. It was so unexpected.

I laughed so hard that I couldn't stop and was crying and even as I now type this, 10 minutes later, I am having a hard time keeping my cool. Thanks, man, I really must have needed that, because I haven't felt that good in a while. MY wife is shaking her head at me as I explain and then break down into hysterical laughter, which also makes me laugh as I type this.

Funniest thing I've seen in a really long time.

Good orc names? Surely there's no such thing as a good orc. Except perhaps in the context of the phrase "you can't keep a good orc down". Do orcs even *have* down - or indeed feathers of any kind?

Now I've confused myself...

Boghat is a much respected member of his clan. The trick is getting it to stay still.

The Bison that is, not Boghat he's been still for quite a long time now after the incident with the axe beak.

Nope, I just don't got the flair for funny orc names.

Threefinger Crakuluk of the Dead Wolf Tribe
Gorvan Ironclub of the Dripping Caves
Grunssh Gra'lik of the Pierced Eye Tribes

I just can't do the funny ones.

My last half-orc called himself Lord Gristle.

Beyond that I have used various sounds the back of my throat can make when I am ill.

The only Orc that I had in any of my NWN games was some brute strength-based warrior and I could not come up with better names than Urûk-Hai (from LotR) and Gru'umsh (which AFAIK is some god of theirs).

I take the time to give specific orc NPCs in my D&D campaign names, but whenever I get put on the spot (such as the PCs capturing an orc grunt and asking him what's his name), I always name them "Grak". :P
