Galaxy at War will be an epic addition to the ME universe. To be able to "command" whole armies, fleets, etc. in the fight against the reaper, it feels more like a big fight for live in the Milky Way, than just shooting through various missions (which are indeed epic scened).
The co-op adds the rest to the rounded up package. Both is influencing each other. (Co-op influences the SP and GAW aswell does GAW with SP and SP with GAW. Commanding armies to fight the reapers is a genius idea.)

Depending on how good you're, you'll get your "optimal" end faster or the way you want it.

Cheeze? Did you promote yourself, travel back in time, and double the counter-troll for double the fun?

I respect your approach at trying to "reason" with me. However, the logic you speak of does not work here on BSN.

let me repeate this: Most members here are Bioware droids. They believe everything they say, right up until release. They don't exercise any thought. Their faith in a game corporation borders on insanity. They are great examples of blind sheep mentality that continues to destroy Music, Games, Movies and Television. They believe their jargon, they can't evaluate the information objectively. Thus they will always think of all anti-mp supporters as "Screaming their ears off". Our volume is necessary to pierce the thick fog of delusion.

And I agree that being a drone for ANYTHING borders on the retarded whether it;s a BioDrone, CODdrone, or a Anti-MPdrone.

I will not waste time trying to appeal to them. They aren't going to listen. I've had many posts, where I threw away the insults and just presented my arguments, none of them were able to rebutt them, and instead they continue to chant the same rhetoric "WAIT UNTIL RELEASE"

Let me ask you this. If you're putting together a 100 peice puzzle, and you have say 70 peices. is it unreasonable to guess how the product will turn out? Wouldn't my guess be wholly accurate, as well?

Then don't... Go save time and focus on making the gaming industry better rather than sitting on a chair and **** for hours on people that don't listen. An armchair critic benefit NONE of us.

As for your last comment, I respectfully disagree... Why? Mainly because you're basing yourself on the single "fact" that MP MUST be a detraction rather than an addition. Do we honestly know for sure that Bioware skimped on the SP experience for MP? Does the fact that the addition of MP mean the devaluement of ME3? Did the SP for games like Portal 2 and Uncharted 2 get ruined by MP? ^_^

It's too much of a logical leap from ME3 will suck because MP will detract because it will affect the SP quality despite being developed by two different teams. =]

If the Grand Admiral really is my future self, s/he should have at least had the decency to come back with the winning lotto numbers.  I mean, how am I supposed to become a grand admiral without ridicuously large piles of money?

I know my two BFFs and I are going to be krogans: Blossom the Mechanic, Bubbles the Battlemaster, and Buttercup the Berserker.

The only question is do I call them the Kroganpuff Girls or the Powerpuff Krogans?

Bioware is basically owned by EA. They have deep enough pockets to set two studios on this one game. One for MP-focus with the other SP focus. Neither loses any real traction in development because one studio falls behind schedule.

Galaxy at War could in a sense be just as about hardcore role playing as the Mass Effect single player Campaign except you don't pick a blue-para choice, rene-red choice, or neutral. Instead, you say (mic is useful) exactly how you feel, act like a loner or tight group which is use your own moral compass to guide your very own character, not a Shepard like everyone else. You could be Renegade type character who keeps his own life in check before taking a chance to save a lesser experienced player because your Rene thinks saving that player will result in having to do it again and compromise yourself. A Paragon type player would almost kill their self trying to save the noob. Then you could be neutral to where you base your choices on whether it fits in your plans, whether good or evil.

It's like a side-story that fits into the main story. It's not needed but why not try it out? If you don't play it, no harm done and your Single player campaign does not suffer as a result. It's more about using your own imagination instead of just trying to use Bioware's for the MP. When it comes out, I hope to try it our with all of you who have an Xbox360! If it can be played cross-platform, I hope to play with all of you!

Same here, I really want to try them all though! lol
Is it possible to have an all Asari group or Krogan-group?
Hell, a "self-proclaimed Blood Pack" (maybe even name the group. lol) krogan group fighting waves of enemies. I can just hear my teammates and I screaming "I AM KROGAN!" for the hell of it and laughing out butts off.

Hard-core roleplaying is defined by the ability to play as anything you want to, is it?
Guess that makes WoW the perfect- nay, the very definition- of a rolepalying game.

Spare me. I'd rather Bioware burned the idea, or better yet shelved it for a future ME themed RTS. The franchise seems to be really conducive to one, and I personally am quite eager to roll a turian fleet into a krogan swarm and give 'em the business.

I'm playing a Turian Vanguard (or a Sentinel if Bioware keeps the two classes per aliens, yet 6 classes for Humans...)

You're making alot of assumptions here that are very unlikely to be true.

Your first problematic assumption is that MP doesn't affect SP.  The chances on this being true,  especially the way it's described,  are near 0.

1.  EA didn't double the budget for the third entry in a series that sits in the 2-millions mark of sales.  That money came out of the overall budget for ME3.  Therefore,  SP is affected by a decreased amount of available resources.

2.  Not to mention that it now doubles the number of administrative/leadership positions unnecessarily,  2 Lead Programmers,  2 Lead Developers,  etc.

3.  It is very clearly a focal point of the game,  it has an effect on the Player's ability to achieve the optimal ending.  This affects SP.

4.  Further,  there's no valid reason for throwing this in and tieing it to the optimal ending unless there's an ulterior motive ::cough::  Online Pass ::cough::,  and as such,  means it's likely implemented in such a way as to force people into it.  Which,  if one goes and reads the FAQ,  you'll notice Bioware dodging the "Will it affect SP?" question,  in the same way they had dodged "Will there be Multiplayer?",  and they're doing that for a reason.

5.  As Lunatik pointed out,  people aren't going back and replaying a handful of co-op missions endlessly,  if you aren't there in the first month,  you're going to be without people to play with.

6.  From what I've read,  playing Co-op nets you bonuses in the SP game Shepherd,  which means the game must be balanced towards the people who played co-op,  which means anyone who opts out of MP is affected.

The assumption that it is "Optional" is huge,  and the belief that it doesn't affect SP is ridiculous.  This is not going to turn out anything like people keep thinking it will.
