I guess you all forgot about Leviathan of Dis, that thing disappeared when the batarians dreadnought arrived.

Bioware need to reveal more about the Reapers.

Nope. He's the smartest reaper we know of, he wasn't dumb like Sovereign and put all his eggs in one basket named Saren.

I want other reapers as characters to be introduced but I am one that liked Harbinger.

It's not even stated Harbinger's the leader of the Reapers, it'd be more accurate to assume he was the voice for the fleet as a whole. Anyway, Harbinger's a decent enough Reaper. I look forward to seeing him coming back for round two with Shepard.

Nah. I know everyone criticizes his comments, but that's mostly due to exposure. We only fight a Sovereign avatar once in ME1, and Sovereign's comments in that last fight were at least as bad, and IMO, more trollish than Harbinger's ME2 taunts.

I think the solution is simply to use fewer battle taunts.

Besides, you can't get rid of him now.  He's been trollin' like a boss, and we need to be able to whoop his ass for it.

Yes I agree.
Sovereign was great up to that point, but it too suffered from bad taunts.

I particularly like the double spike design composed of its head crest and back.

I liked Sovereign better than Harbinger, but neither were bad by a long shot, in my opinion. Yes Sovereign was more mechanical, but truth be told Reapers are whole civilizations trapped in hive mind, composed of the DNA of millions of individuals. It stands to reason they will have different personalities and perhaps even different tactics from one "individual" to the next.

yeah, I'd like that. Replace Harby with a reaper more like Sovy. I hated how Harbinger didn't sound robotic at all compared to Sovereign. Sovereign sounded like he was just doing his duty as a reaper. Harbinger sounded like a cliche bully.

You can't just replace Harbinger or just get rid of him.  The main question in ME 3 regarding Harbinger is when and how we encounter him and then when and how he will be destroyed.

I just really enjoyed Sovereign's voice better. Sounded more ominous than Harbinger's.

I like Harbinger and how quick he deals with a problem. He showed up, blew the Normandy, killed Shepard and nearly got his/her body.
If only those taunts annoyed Shepard to death, he would have been the greatest bad guy.

Harbinger doesn't sound like a machine like Sovereign did. More like a guy who's spending too much time with the audio editor.

They sort of backed themselves into a corner with Harbinger.  They wanted it to seem like you were just dealing with the Collector General the whole time until the end when the mask officially comes off (I say "officially" because it wasn't like they went to great lengths to hide the truth).  Thus, they couldn't use the level of vocal processing they did with Sovereign.

Personally, I think that during the escape sequence the voice should have gotten progressively more machine-like, and when we got to the "Releasing Control" line, it should have been almost exactly like Sovereign's in terms of the effects being applied.  Then with Arrival, they could have given us the machine voice post-SM, and the normal one pre-SM.

Watch the 'bad' Arrival ending.

Go to the slow-motion part at 0:22 and slowly flip through the vision, frame by frame. You can see Harbinger (and some weirdly designed Reapers) in many of the frames (particularly at about 0:38:12, estimated) you can see Harbinger.

Here, I made a screencap of that a while back:

No Saren gave Soveriegn his name. Because he felt Nazara was a supreme ruler, a soveriegn.

No, either Edan Had'dah or Dr. Shu Qian gave Sovereign that name, per Revelation. Saren just went with it, and Legion simply assumed it originated with him.

I really hope Bioware didn't change Harbinger's original purpose in the ME3 plot just because some fans did not like him.

I actually liked Harbinger, but after reading a list of his taunts, I said to myself, "Why didn't I get to hear any of *these* taunts?"

Notice the blackhole in the background? I think they are observing wreckage from the Collector Base.

They never called it Soveriegn in the books though. Everyone called it either that artifact or ship. Never specified a name until ME1 when Saren started refering to it as Sovereign.
