Would you prefer Harbinger being replaced?

Harbinger didn't do anything to fill me with dread, I'm sorry. TBH, I'd much rather have several different Reapers "talk" to us, but with the same voice effects as Sovereign had, rather than have Harby fill in as the Reapers' frontman again. Maybe he should make an appearance at a key moment in the story?
If he does return in a big way, it'll be hard for me to take him seriously with that voice.

I know ME2 really worked Harby up as "the big cheese" of the Reapers, a leader of sorts. Unfortunately, he is also the most pitiful enemy in the entire series. Would you sacrifice consistency to either a) Have a new Reaper be referred as the "leader" orRetcon/change Harby's personality or c) Remove him entirely.
I will punch a child if I hear any more of this in ME3. Copypasta time...
“This hurts you.”
“This is true power.”
“We fight as one.”
“You cannot resist.”
“This is what you face.”
“The forces of the universe bend to me.”
“Our power is unmatched.”
“Nothing stands against us.”
“Face your annihilation.”
“You are bacteria.”
“You are shortsighted.”
“Irrelevant.”
“Pitiful.”
“These attacks are pointless.”
“This body does not matter.”
“The flesh is a machine.”
“You are vermin.”
"We will end you.”
"They are bacteria.”
“We are unstoppable.”
“Evolution cannot be stopped.”
“They will be as we are.”
“They are vermin.”
“We are the beginning, you are the end.”
“We are superior.”
"Swarm their position.”
"Overwhelm them.”
“Fight as one.”
“Surround them.”
“Relinquish your form to us.”
“You prolong the inevitable.”
“Your death is assured.”
“Embrace perfection.”
“Hope is irrelevant.”
“I sense your weakness.”
“I will show you true power.”
“Your attacks are primitive.”
“You cannot sustain your attack.”
“This delay is pointless.”
“There is no fear.”
“Your attack is an insult.”
“You are no longer relevant.”
I enjoyed his saying actually, made me feel like the reapers are actually very powerful and that my efforts are not much to stop them.

Sovereign was eldritch and lovecraftian. The best line in the game is "You are not Saren." it's perfect, it's not "Who are you?" It's an observation, not a question, because Sovereign doesn't care who you are. You're nothing to him, you're inconsequential.
Great observation.

While that's true to some extent, here's the thing: Sovvy kinda did care. The entire point of that conversation was to keep you occupied so Saren could get over there and (hopefully) prevent you from causing any more trouble. Notice how basically the instant it's over Joker calls to tell you Sovvy's nearly there? Also, you don't spend a bunch of time trying to intimidate someone with your nifty lecture if you're not at least a little bit interested. So, yeah, sure, Sovvy may not think much of you, but you are on its mind.

Sure, it's all about mental manipulation, that could possibly lead to confusion or even surrender on the part of a less strong Shepard. However, his intimidation relies on making it well clear in all aspects of the conversation that the orders of magnitude of scale that separate them are just too great.

I haven't read the leaked scripts but I haven't seen anything in released material that gives the impression that Harbinger is gonna be the 'big cheese'.
I've read the script, and IMHO, people won't be disappointed with Harbringer in ME3. He does some impressive things in the game actually.
Of course, people can have different opinions then I have.

Sovereign was a lot more intimidating than Harbinger. I hope they fix the irritating issues with Harbinger or that someone else is the "leader".
There are 2 reasons Sovereign seemed more intimidating.
1. He was the first Reaper we saw.
2. We interact with him directly.
Apart from those, we don't know what Harbinger can do. People are bashing him without having actually seen what he can do (Besides possess Collectors).

I disagree. There is only one reason for that - we weren't killing Sovy's avatars during whole game.
Harbinger's tactic just looks retarded "Okay, Shepard killed twenty of my avatars, but this time I'll surely kill him!"

I'd like Harbinger to remain; I don't dislike the character to nearly the same extent as much of this community. I still prefer Sovereign, but... yeah.
Instead what I'd like to see are multiple Reaper personas, several of which given that menacing aura that Sovereign commanded.

I think the thing that made Sovereign so much better as an enemy was that he regarded Shepard as I would regard a grain of sand. Then again, Shepard hadn't done any real damage in ME1. Perhaps if Harbinger was the one destroyed at the Citadel, Sovereign would be the same way?
EDIT: Didn't Harby has 6 lights in a smiley-face configuration (looool)? Is this the same Reaper?
*snip*
That's Harbinger, though it won't be as funny when he pulls up next to you like the collector ship did in ME2:pinched:
Imagin a scene where Harbinger and EDI talked trash to each other.

Sovereign's voice was helped by the acoustics in that room which was essentially a metal stairwell. Harby's had insufficient reverb.
That has nothing to do with the room. They just applied different effects directly to the dialogue. It sounds exactly the same played in a media player as it does in game.
Duh. <_< One would have to have a winter time outdoor ambient temperature IQ to think that graphics would affect an audio recording. They used a convolution reverb called "Stairwell". I have it.
